Militis.jinxed is me. I usually get to play once a day for a little while. I go lose a game to some h00mans and then play against the AI to make myself feel better.

I played at my friend's place recently and beat some mid-silver league players. It was really really fun and my friend just made platinum league today so that's pretty awesome XD.

 

Hey Soloman, sorry I didn't message you back. I couldn't figure out how to work the whisper thing! I did FINALLY remember how to change between allied chat and all chat, but that's about it, lol.

half-brain Edit: Just finished my first placement match today, and it was a win. TvP (me being T), and it was fun. I know for a fact there is a lot of room for improvement in my game, and that later on in the game I completely abandoned micro in favor of pumping out mass units (and a nice variation) and just tossing them at the other guy. Playing those dozens of Starcrack'd games I did really helped. I have a pretty good feel for Terran, and I think they might be my "main" race.

If ya'll want the replay, I can upload it somewhere. I would really appreciate someone going over it and telling me "hey dickhead, you probably should have done such and such instead of blah blah blarg."

I just rewatched the replay, and I had no idea my opponent hadn't seen any of my bases! He finally got a few observers in, but he missed my 'rax and cc. Not to mention my two expos...I feel pretty bad for demolishing him, but then again I think we were both pretty equal. I might have had a bit better idea what I was doing, thanks to StarCrack.

When his DT's came out, I overreacted and pretty much abandoned my units at that watch tower. I totally forgot that, ya know, 'toss are known for cloaked units. If I'd have been ready then, I probably would have cut the game in half. Oh well...live and learn.

Also, my profile seems to be fucked. Every time I log in, it's someone else's profile I see. LOL. They're fixing it, I guess.

 

I'm thinking about preordering, but I've realized that I have no clue what pre-order even means.

Does it mean that they reserve it for me at the store the day it comes out? If so is there an expiry time for that?

Or does it mean that they will deliver it to my place when the game is released?

The difference is very important to me because I may not even be in the country the day of release so I don't want to be blowing 60 bucks for nothing.

Edit: Nvm, I checked it out and found out that I can choose for in-store pick up or delivery. Thanks for alerting to this possibility and hopefully I'll be getting pwned by you guys on the Beta some time this Friday!

Alrighty I contacted customer service and got an answer back. As long as you order online, they will send you a code so anyone who lives outside of the US can get it.

EDIT: By the way, Militis, I checked out that replay you posted. You really, really need to work on spending those resources. At the end you had over 16000 minerals, and you had four upgrade buildings doing nothing. On top of that, your unit production buildings were by and large not doing anything. Basically, look at your resource count every so often, and if you see it over 200 or so (and you're not saving for an expo), find something to spend it on.

Now I just need to work on taking my own advice. ;D

 

Yeah, that's one thing I'm working on. Another thing is constantly producing units. Usually I have my buildings on a hotkey so I can just keep pumping units, but this time I dunno why I didn't. By the end of that game, I had all my upgrades done I believe. I usually get 2 e-bays and 4 armories, but that time I didn't do any mech units from the factory (especially since I goofed and lost it so quick) so no need for the extra 2 armories.

I did my first placement 2v2 match today, and I got OWNED by a nydus worm. I saw it popping up (both times...-.-) but got overwhelmed by roaches. Even nerfed, those bitches are hard to kill. It wasn't as bad as some 2v2s I've done because I had managed to save all my buildings AND had enough minerals to keep going in a different location, but wow. I am not proud of that game, but in the end it was really only 1v1, lol. My ally carried the game.

Edit: Problem fixed with the slow map loading. Played around 6 games I think and got into Gold league 56th position. I got ling rushed so badly one game because I forgot to make my first zealot. Agg!!!
