That is my favourite way to play mafia, as either alignment!

I am down, just expect me to question old townreads sometimes, because weak/bad d1 townreads should be reevaluated later on and too many people forget that.

In other news, I really dislike Von this game. Jan, you should know that Von can't be relied on to always freeze up under pressure.

There should be no reason to soft defend tom. No one should ever defend tom d1. Esp. if Von's gonna townread practically the only person with an actual push on him.

I don't know if I agree with math on fonti, or if I think math just randed scum twice..

 

My read is not that. I think the way he acted under the pressure was town"von, but i mentioned that before.

And I will townread him for stupid reasons until I am wrong. I don't think i have called him town as scum for a long time .. the other way around, yes, sometimes when he has a weird town game.


On another note .. fonti this game reminds me a bit of fonti last game, just imagine she didn't stop playing right after giving her first list.
This is basically the play I would have expected town!fonti to deliver when she is hyped about rolling town.

There is just the thing where I know that she knows what I am expecting of her here. Which would force her to somewhat fake it as scum as well or live with me scumreading her.

They are basically doing similar buddy buddy like things they did last game, they just have fonti as scum and not as town.

The tom read is .. there. Not convincing me a bit tbh. I think tom is a devious birch as either alignment and knows how to spout pure bullshit.
Doesn't make him town .. but not scummy either.

I liked the way Q handled Typhons early expectations. Not even trying to live up to last game.

It gets them conversations going. It also shows insight into other people's reads because they're going to assume which one is fake, thus showing what they think of that particular player.

It all makes sense in a sort of sideways kinda way.

No it doesn't.

As scum he can claim whichever read was fake to suit his fancy.
As Town he makes himself unreadable and untrustworthy because then he can say "Fake"

So any "gains" from seeing who assumes what is fake is lost by not being able to read tom. So any results there of are food from the poisonous tree if Town and deadly if scum.

 

I agree with Math. This is unusual, and so worth stating.

Alsi, I firmly believe Actual Reads>Reaction Tests, especially since by claiming his reads are fake, tom takes a position where he can never be said to support or oppose various things since he can use the excuse that whatever reads are inconvenient for him were his fake ones.

The more I think about it, the worse I feel.
