    I mean.

Good town players can be wrong, but if they show logical thought progressions and make efforts to scumhunt/solve the game well - which I'm claiming Q did last game despite his alignment - then they are an asset and able to be considered town until something happens to change the gamestate.

If he pushes someone who flips town for thin reasons when something better exists (ie does not do the above things), then he's probably scum. If he does the above things and it leads him down the wrong road, then that's unfortunate but these things happen.

Does that make sense, or am I not being clear about what I mean?

I mean you are clear ..

But that is like trying to catch eido.
He will always townside as scum, which means your only way to get him is getting paranoid d4 onwards.

Sure if Q tries to kills people with bad reasons and ignores good reasons on others, then that might be a tell.
But ssn't that a tell for everyone but Kai?

Oooohh .. Kai not even in this game.

Much sadness, I could have taunted someone that is actually playing.
    Not that Kai ever does.

    No.

I am voting Tom because I don't believe that Tom believed his case on Waco. Or rather, as I would describe it to miner, Tom smells like scum.

I mean, I see what you're saying, but I guess my point was that's good either way? Like, assuming he plays an Eido-esque scum game or a towngame commensurate with the thought processes and reasoning he displayed in the previous game, then he is essentially towncircled until endgame when we sort out if he's bullshitting us or not. If not, he's scum and we kill him.

So Q is a good place for me to start figuring out the game - normally I start with Snow, but he's trying to lock me up 2 hours into the game and I have no clue if that's like, a legitimate thought process, or him being pounce-y so I'm punting him for the moment.

Then you are most likely wrong.

fontisian Tom being wrong or having a fake/weak case at this point in the game is nothing special though. Von not feeling towny at any point in any game is definately something.

Hi Miner. You seem town. Read over Tom's Waco case and try to spot a problem.

    Not really my department.
I don't like his "i'm not gonna fluff this game" but eh.
He did fluff a bit though, so I'm back to normal methods of "just believe him to be town until proven otherwise."

There is a vast difference between being wrong or having a weak case and making a fake case. The former are often the results of human error. The later are what happens when scum try to act town and fail.

He might very well be. His play so far was not inspiring at all.

Him saying "I don't want to fill the thread with fluff" or whatever reads like an excuse.

But I think von is fairly self resolving and there is no need to pressure him too much right now.

If he is scum and you randomly ask everyone to vote for him, then his partners will just jump on and we won't get a lot out of d1.
Well we will get a scum lynch, but not a lot of reads outside of that.

Just sit back relax and see what happens for now. Don't give scum easy reads to hide behind.

TBF tom does this every game.

    Fair enough.

He's not saying what I want him to say either. We can lynch him first.
