Neato. Oddly enough, despite some of the lackluster and rage!hate I had for some of the episodes in season one, I am looking forward to this next season.

The thing is, with the ridiculous mid-season break, I've lost absolutely all interest in this show.

As it was, I was only really watching out of duty/hope that it would get better. But I've got no desire to come back to it now.

I have no idea why US channels do mid-season breaks. It's annoying, because it means UK channels have to do them too, or we'd get ahead of you guys (specifically thinking of Caprica here).

Watched the episode, found it pretty shit.

I mean, sure, it was interesting in some ways, but the main themes of the show seem to be ridiculous drama. "Omg, we must conspire against our leadership, and clearly make shit even worse than it already is!"

I mean, wtf, scott and Greer should of never gone to try and rescue Chloe, they are professional soldiers, personal feelings should not of been an issue.

I might just give up on this one too. Pity, because i'm finishing SG1 and Atlantis atm, and frankly, they are really fun to watch.

Well, the last episode was better than I expected, especially with the whole drama, but around half way through it actually got quite good.

I still don't like the whole divide thing, however, least they aren't plugging it with heaps of filler.

I've only been watching it off and on, but this last episode was just amazingly stupid. The doctor in charge of the mutineers was lucky she didn't get thrown out an airlock. "Civilians should be in charge" applies in a democracy, which the crew of a spaceship (which is regularly facing armed enemies) is not.

It was better than the last few episodes imo. :/

Last episode was interesting. In a it reminds me why I hate like half the cast kind of way. I really wish rush wasn't such a fleshed out character. Then they might actually kill the ass off. It seems his entire existence is to make things worse than they already are. That and Cloe displayed yet another unlikable tendency. The show is so dark I have trouble seeing whos who from time to time but isn't see still sleeping with that lieutenant she joined a mutiny against?

    Yes, she is.

The characterization in this show is pretty fucking awful in all honesty. I don't think there is one character that I actually truly enjoy on the show. The only thing that keeps me coming back is both the special effects, and the whole idea around stargate.

Thing is, the stargate seems to be pretty much getting taken out of the picture lately. Don't much care about the aliens yet.

I can easily see myself giving up on this shit. I'll give it the season, probably, then wait for what others think before watching the next one.

What gets me, is that if SG1 had both the budget and the special effects of this show, it could of been so amazing.

I like Eli... that's about it... Rush too, but only because he's the gateway into seeing more cool shit about the world that they're in.

They succeeded in attracting a new audience (barely) and they've lost their old audience.

    Go them.

I am going to give this show an extremely long tether because I love Stargate. Eli could possibly carry this show for awhile and Rush's bastard motives are pretty amusing. They need to change it up eventually though or this is going to be the Voyager of Stargate (not good). Also Random hot chick needs to get with Eli or bust tbqh.

    ...

You know your sci-fi is crap when you are rooting for a love interest story to somehow save it -_-

Yea... its like the ultimate shiny looking train wreck.

Although I'll admit the last episode did make me laugh a fair bit, somehow I don't think that's what they were going for though.

I will remain a fan as long as Sgt. Big Breasts remains!

Eli... meh, his character really needs to develop beyond what he was at the start of the program, as for Rush... I loved him at the start, but he's kinda going downhill. He is apparently the smart guy, but he's acting less and less like it.

I agree, they really need to develop on Eli. Yes, Rush is quite smart, but far from perfect. I think the writers are trying to show us that, unlike in SG-1 and Atlantis, the smart guy is not always right.

    Or they got lazy.

Latest episode was kinda meh. I called the surprise earlier in the season, and the really interesting parts of the episode were largely ignored. :(

Fucking this. I'll still watch it, because it's Stargate, but meh...I could find a better way to spend an hour.
This too. Although "fan" isn't the right word for me...more like "stare at her in every scene she's in and forget to watch the rest of the train wreak."

    That's Lieutenant Big Breasts, factually.

I still like the show. I can think of worse ways to fill 40 minutes.

    Matt Silver's Opinion: Check!
