Last couple of episodes leading up to this have been much better than the shit at the start.

Chloe still needs to GTFO, whinging bitch. Eli is manning up. Rush is badass. Wanted more military action TBH, and that chinese chick needs to die. ASAP.

The military are recieving orders from the elected civilian government, you aren't elected so GTFO. She's acting like a stupid hippy for no reason other than to undermine military authority. They were on a military base when it came under fire. As fucking if they are going to listen to some civilians who only want to act like fucking care bears.

The more sci fi SGU is, the better it is, the more drama it is, the more fail it is. I hope the writers realise this and fuck off the deep and meaniful shit and realise the audience wants sci fi and stargate at that.

I honestly couldn't bring myself to watch part 2 after seeing the spoilers for it on the wiki page, the plot recap seemed so stupid, but really that doesn't even begin to cover it. Also, considering that everyone has been brought back for season 2 as far as I know, I don't believe that they are going to be killing anyone off...

Edit: Pretty much what Murton said, Chloe didn't annoy me all that much and Rush went from annoying me to being a rather interesting character after we finally got a little bit of depth to him. Also Wray does indeed need to GTFO. One of the things that honestly did piss me off was when the civilians "mutineed". I know more than a few people in the military and I know that if anyone ever came up to them and said "Give us your weapon, we are taking control and getting rid of your superior officer", they most definitely would not say, "Duhhh ok", that single scene has annoyed me more than almost anything else in the entire season.

part 2 is worth it, trust me. The cliffhanger at the end is wtf.

I was expecting the cause for the dude who was disintergrated to be the dude who went missing when he was in the chair. Also we haven't heard shit from the people in the second episode who went to that other stargate address. Somehow I think it was the aliens homeworld and alerted them of the ship in the first place.

Yeah, no. The alien dudes had been following Destiny for ages now (In the pilot, Destiny had all these holes in it - alien ship weapon fire. It was pretty much implied in Space/Divided too) for some reason. Those two back in the second episode? I bet they're unimportant with a side of, "Who gives a fuck?"

The show's enjoyable enough for me to want to keep watching next season.

Well since we didn't see Scott and Greer get incinerated, Young and his people get executed, and Chloe probably just passed out, the only ballsy thing to follow through on is TJ miscarrying. Which I don't doubt will happen - the actress's pregnancy in the show was an inconvenience for them...

Ehh, I'll probably grab it when it comes up on Hulu or something. I like the Stargate Universe (hmm that's kinda awkward to say here) too much in general to not at least try and keep liking this show. It just seems to hit so high at times and then drop so low at others.

    Episode was pretty sweet.

I really hope some people do die, but I doubt they will.

TJ is gonna be pretty annoying next episode, but at least something did happen.

The whole thing kinda fucked me off though. Why not vent the atmosphere for a good 2 or 3 minutes, then put it back in there, save your guys, and shoot the others. Right at the start, I'm meaning.

There are some glaring flaws in the plans here tbh.

Exactly. You can save the one guys life. I mean, you can pretty much be dead for five minutes before any major brain damage occurs.

    So say we all.

However, to the point... there were some glaring flaws with a lot of Youngs command decisions. Honestly, he should of just had the room pre-vented before anyone ever got through the Stargate.

Or fuck, he should of had people BEHIND the Stargate with weapons trained. We already know that when people come through they are fully exposed. Shit, he could of had civilians lined up with kitchen knives stabbing mindlessly in the air, and had a better result then what happened in the show. Honestly... they got mowed through. Chewed up and spit out, simple as that.

I've remained rather committed to the show, as I've enjoyed most parts of it... but this really got me angry. I liked O'neil telling him that maybe he should be up there handling all of this... I think the show would be a lot more awesome with that particular change. Though, I like seeing a fresh set of boots hitting across the universe.

They just need to stop with this sappy dramatic bullshit and get to the killing some fucking aliens part.

..So am I the only one who was annoyed with fuck when they brought out some tech that could perfectly open Destiny's doors? :\

Yeah... it's like the tech was custom built to get through Destiny's doors. I don't honestly see how the Writers can justify that. Just felt like a pathetic way around letting Young trap them in and get what he wanted.

Ok, it has been awhile since I have posted, but I felt the need to join in on this banter with my thoughts.

    1. Yes, Chinese bitch must die. I think that it would be a much smoother show if we didn't have always sticking her nose into everyone's business.

    2. At the start of the season, I like so many others thought that Rush was a waste of space, but ever since his imprisonment with the aliens, it seems that he has removed his head from his ass.

    3. To my never ending shame, I was a Matthew Scott supporter. I did my time in the Marine Corps, and I will tell you, any officer that questioning orders from a superior while other soldiers are present...

    4. Where did Colonel Young's balls disappear to?

    5. Thank god, Col. Telford is aboard now.

    6. And yes, still a big Eli fan. He needs to come out of shell and man up.

    7. Greer rocks.

Spoilers for last two episodes and thoughts on the next season....

actually there is a possible answer to this. Col. Telford, who seems to have been brainwashed for some time, had been aboard Destiny a few times and could have described the door locking system. Not to mention all of the other intelligence that they seem to have.

Yes, his strategy was seriously messed up, but in his defense, your talking about people that have captured Goa'uld technology. They could have tossed a few of those grapefruit sized grenades through first, or have been wearing some type of environmental suit. However, Young did miss his opportunity to clear the room, when he refused to empty the room of air once he saw that none of the technology was in use. He had already proven that a person could be brought back from death ( what he did to Rush/Telford ).

Ok, now onto what I think will happen in season 2...

    1. Scott and Greer make it the hatch, and Eli lets them in.
    2. TJ's baby dies.
    3. Rush, Volker, Eli, Greer, and Scott take back the advantage.
    4. Mr. "Second in Command who was shot" will help broker a deal that will bring an uneasy peace between the two sides.

Looking at the titles for the upcoming season, I can only speculate that the two sides will be forced join together, and the drama will increase.

    Now my unanswered questions...

    1. If the Lucian Alliance can find another planet, why hasn't the SGC, when they have two maybe three galaxies to look in?

    2. Why does the SGC not screen their undercover agents after being in the field, especially when they use technology that has been used the in the past to brainwash people?

    3. Why in all the time they have been aboard the ship, have they not explored more of it, when they have functioning environmental suits?

    4. Why hasn't Greer airlocked Wray?

    I have many more questions...

Nope, but it was just too far down the list of other fucking annoying things to rate a mention for me.

Because there are billions of planets in a galaxy, and searching them all one by one is going to take a ridiculously long time.

And the LA have far more resources than Earth. In terms of available people to search out planets and the number of ships to explore them and knowledge of such planets etc.

Earth has only been in the game for around 12 years. Sure they are top dog in terms of firepower, but numbers of the Jaffa and LA far out number Earth.

Also, Atlantis is on earth now, we don't know what the Atlantis movie will do with it.

What's the third galaxy? Ida? Asgard are long gone but their database might have info, but you'd think they would have checked, same with the atlantis database.

They can only explore so many planets at a time.

If the First Parter of Incursion is to be believed, they can scan planets in almost no time at all. True, you still have to siphon through all of the planets... but just pop a few of those sailboats with FTL they have in the back, and I'm sure they could knock it down to a reasonable amount of time. :awesome

The Sergent remains my favorite character in this entire show, despite his lack of quality screen-time and dialogue like the rest of the starring cast.

As for the Lucian's door openers, I think it fits in with a as-yet-unrevealed motivation for them to actually want the Destiny. Maybe they found an Ancient outpost or something with the door openers and the Destiny's true purpose, and they said, "Hey, we fucking want in on that shit!"

Of course, the above could be bullshit and we will never know jack come season 2.

Well they have. Earth, they put the suits on and repaired some damaged areas for Telford's plan. Life, they found the Ancient Repository Chair. Faith, they found the Ancient robot thing. Here in Incursion, purely by accident Eli and Chloe find some new areas. My guess is that if most of the ship is unrepairable, the crew is just lazy, or keeping in the small area they have may just be safest for the moment (Conserving power and all. If the Destiny had run out of power while it was drifting in Faith and Sabotage (Having three-four weeks of nothing to do during those periods), the crew would've been fucked).

I don't think you quite understand the concept of BILLIONS of planets. Especially when you're talking more than one galaxy. 200-400 Billion starts in the galaxy, according to Google. If every one of those stars had just ONE planet, then yeah. You're starting to get the point, i'd hope.
