Looks like they are going a different way than Guild wars and WoW.

They are also setting it about season 5 of SG-1 so you don't have the Ori and the Asgard are still around.

I think I will buy it so long as they don't charge per month like WoW.

Updates will be nice an easy to. Just add another world. Although I wonder just how large this will be. It could very well be a huge amount of space with dozens of worlds.

 

I've been looking forward to this for about a year. Signed up for beta consideration few weeks ago -- not expecting much, but meh. They only want frequent poster on their forums, but its still worth a try.

Graphics look phenomenal. Almost as good as EVE.

OK, the last MMORPG that I played was Ultima, some ten years ago.

It looks like it's going to be a MMORPFPSG... Which sounds pretty difficult to do successfully, cause rpgs and fps games have totally different criteria for them to be any good.

 

And there's gonna be no tanks/healers! OH NOES!?!

I'm going to think about buying it when it comes out if i can do something cool as an Asgard. If not, then definitely not, fps+mmo generally don't mix.

 

Hey, if I can use the Goa'uld hand device to torture people I'm buying it no matter how crappy it is. I'm simple like that.

 

Actually from reading through the official wiki I can't really place where they say it's going to be FPS, they describe it as "Hollywood Style Action" and "The Feel of the Show"

 

I'm predicting a horrendously unbalanced game that has a battle system that won't allow for proper MMO grouping to work well.
