I read a Firefly/Starwars crossover for the first time today and my first thought was what River would be like as a Jedi. I was thinking something like a few Jedi rescue her from the Academy and seeing her combat prowess she somehow ends up involved with the order.

The story wouldn't have to go like that but I thought a not-quite-there girl being part of the Jedi Oder would be interesting.

Anyone heard of a story like this? I couldn't find one of FF.net.

 

It's been awhile since I read it, but I remember Darth Marrs's crossover Blue Sun Down had River hooking up with a Jedi and then receiving Jedi training. I don't think she was part of the Order though. (The story may have been set after the fall of the Order.)

Yeah, it's Darth Marrs, who tends to be panned on the site, but I recall this as one of his better stories, if a complete curbstomp.

 

Darth Marrs is pretty mediocre. I initially passed over that story because the first chapter bored me to death.

 

Fair enough. (That I've never gone back and reread, as I tend to do with good stories, is probably telling.)
