Cool - worked for me. Got a code for Bloo Kid 2. It did sign me up for a mailing list, but there was a convenient "unsubscribe" button on one of them.

Edit: And yeah, Silver Otter's signature made me hesitate as well.

Yeah, I just recently started using Betterment and it's a decent service so I peddle that referral link just about anywhere I can. :p

I'm up $49.49 after about a week of the market going up/down.

I have an email just for stuff like that, they send out emails about free games fairly frequently at failmid.

You might have better luck with just the link and not the graphic - the graphic makes it look like an advertisement instead of a personal recommendation. Better yet say what you just said in your sig.

Hey DLP, I recently started using Betterment and it's a damn decent service. If you have questions regarding investing shoot me a PM (insert your qualifications here - assuming you have any) or add me on Steam. Get 6 months of Betterment with this link: link.

DLP is too savvy to trust things that look like your sig does now :p

Considering he doesn't even mention the actual game that's supposed to be free, doesn't really inspire confidence. Edit: And I am super late and ninja'd harder than the Naruto cast.

Well sure, but if a link reads as "Totallynotavirus.png," I'm not just gonna take the link's word for it.

Christ on a crutch... Anyone else have fifty or so games trying to update, today? [IMG]

Edit: On top of the Doom beta wanting to re-download 9.9GB of files.

Edit 2: It looks like, rather than downloading updates, Steam is actually deleting files. Maybe they're consolidating files that are common to many games (directX updates, etc.) and deleting the repeats to save hard drive space. I now have a few GB free that I didn't have before.

Looks like someone may have actually had a good idea.

Edit 3: I take it all back. Now all those games are back in my download queue, trying to download hundred of MBs or more, apiece. I officially have zero clue what those inconsiderate boneheads are up to.

There are these things called "rural internet" and "data caps" they might want to take into consideration... :fire

This is a widespread issue, hitting a lot of people. It appears to be a bug from when Valve worked on their servers recently, or from a .Net update, or someone at Valve trying to be helpful and then realising they fucked up legally and reversed the change.

Really, no one knows. And as usual, Valve isn't communicating about it.

There's plenty of threads about it on the usual suspects. Reddit, Steam Community, NeoGaf, etc. https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/4eohr1/huge_0_byte_error_on_steam_post_your_experiences/

I've closed Steam and won't restart it until this has blown over. I don't want to lose all of my common redistributable files and then have to re-download them.

Thanks man! Someone else grabbed it before I did (I'd been meaning to pick up a visual novel), but it's appreciated even if whoever it was didn't say thank you. Even though you specifically asked someone to leave word when they grabbed it. HINT HINT MUTHAFUCKAS

    Want any of these Muerci?

    • Slipstream 5000
    • Broken Dreams
    • Vapour
    • Pixel Star

Nah, I'm trying to cut down my gaming time, but thank you for offering :)

LLTQ is great and if you see it on sale I definetly recommend picking it up.

I.. might have another code stashed, actually. I thought I had two, I'll have to look for it...

Don't worry about it Muerci, but thanks. I've got loads and loads of other games to play.

And I got a serial for it, before realizing I already owned it.

It would be helpful to know if someone uses this serial; thanks.
