I have this love/hate relationship with Steam sales. It calls out to my inner hoarder to buy as many "cheap" games as possible. However, I'm going to pick up Deus Ex, and Mafia for White Christmas, and other games for myself.

 

Really lame that the Witcher 2 Assassination of Kings edition didn't win the community vote

 

I voted for that as well. 40% off is still sweet, though.

 

Of course The Witcher 2 is the one game I'm actively looking for a good deal on in this sale. It's $24 now, but I'm hoping they lower it even more at some point within the next week or so. If not, well, $24 is better than $40.

 

I tried the free edition of that game the other day, and the controls pissed me off to the point where I said the hell with it, especially the VTOL training mission. At what point does the game get better if the tutorials are pure rage inducing shit?

As for the sale, am disappoint, was expecting epic, not the same shit they have on sale constantly with another -10% tacked on, c'mon Valve don't let me down, you're the only game company I have faith left in.

 

I was hoping to see Saints Row 3 go on for %75 off so I'm happy about the winner.

 

CK2 is the awesomest thing that ever happened period. Legends of Grimrock is nifty if you're into that sort of nineties adventure RPG malarky. And obviously Portal 2 and Saints Row 3 are fantastic.

 

Thing is they have (very very very very very)^100000 shitty default settings, I went to the arma steam forums and did a few google searches and changed those settings which make it look much much much better. I don't remember right now, but there was really bad movement using mouse, after changing, it is more or less TF2/Cs1.6 for me.

The tutorials are a little hard to grasp but I got through them after some time.

I like playing Multiplayer on Evo/Domination servers. It is really fun once you get used to it. If you can catch me on Steam I can help you through any problems you have.

Srsly, Portal 2 is 75% off (which my friend gifted me after buying 2-pack YAY). On ArmA II I expected at least a 50% discount. >_> Its like a 2-3 year old game. Even the lastest titles BF3, Skyrim etc are on 50% sale. And they go put ArmA for 20% (just because: DayZ). If we don't have a flash/daily sale for at least 50% off Arma, I will be disappoint.

Another bad news for me, I had like 200 bucks saved for this sale. But bank problems won't let me use them. So I will have to use Mom's credit card and I can't spend much from there since she will know I am buying games. >_>
