For the sale price I'd easily recommend Alan Wake, it's not the most shockingly original plot in the world but the atmosphere especially in the forest scenes is fucking fantastic and one of the few games that's genuinely made me get paranoid and twitchy and despite lacking originality the way the plot is delivered still makes it fun. I'd just go ahead and recommend starting on the highest difficulty setting from the get go though, while still fun to play once you get a solid handle on the combat it is nothing so much as even vaguely resembling hard.

As for American Nightmare, not as good as the first one in my opinion but certainly not lacking in its awesome moments even though it is unfortunately noticeably padded to increase the story length. If you like the first one though you'll like this.

If anyone hasn't played this yet, it's time to rectify the situation. Good game, brilliant story. Complete.

For the next couple days, Arkham City: GOTY edition is $7.50. There is no reason not to get it at that price if you haven't already.

The Witcher 1 & 2 Enhanced Edition are both on sale 'til the 17th. You can buy both for roughly $10.

Honestly, at this point there's no reason to buy anything that isn't ridiculously low(80%+) off, since the Summer Sale is coming up in a month.

Kerbal Space Program is $15 right now as well, but I'm waiting for Summer personally.

Amusingly enough, it's not Steam's Summer Sale that's really the big event, it's the fact that I'm dead certain anything Steam puts on sale, GMG/Amazon/Gamersgate will beat it in price. GMG is very well known for doing this, always matching Steam's price and offering at least another 20%-25% off that price.

The big thing is the packs, which I don't think anybody matches.

$60-$100 for almost every game by a single publisher on Steam. Not bad at all.

Amazon has pretty good deals on packs during their sales; better than Steam's in the last year.

edit: Well, maybe not as good as the Steam's big publisher's packs, but once you cherry pick the games you actually want to play out of them, they aren't always as great deal as they appear on paper.

Yeah but since I don't believe you get gift copies of games you already have, most people will almost inevitably have some waste buying one of those full packs.

While Amazon doesn't do huge bundles of that nature, their bundles are just as price competitive and allows far more flexibility with choosing which games you'd want, along with the fact that duplicate games can be traded away instead of lost.
