Steam summer sale should start within a week or two, the cards for the sale started dropping today whenever you craft a badge.

Yessssss, time to finally craft the badges I've been hording since the Christmas sale. On the other hand, I really need to put in overtime this week to cover the upcoming costs with the Summer Sale, so bleh there.

 

Oh fuck there goes my bank account. And my free time. And shit my girlfriend is visiting in July. Decisions.

 

Steam sale has been confirmed for June 19th-June 30th

 

If anyone wants to take advantage of it in anticipation of the sale Target's offering 10% off on Steam gift cards this week.

 

A relevant question to that, Thief just went 50% off until the 19th in fact. Is it worth buying now or will the summer sale drop it even further?

 

It will most likely at least be the same during the sale, though it could definitely hit 66% off. I dunno how likely any more than that is, though.

 

I would've suggested the opposite and advised to buy now.

I've seen it happen both ways. Sometimes the early discount is better than the summer sale price. Sometimes the summer sale price is the same. Sometimes it's even better.

If you're happy buying at 50% and want to start playing it, then buy now.

 

Even better solution, buy an AMD Silver or Gold card from someone else for $20 and $30 respectively. Then choose Thief, Murdered: Soul Suspect, and/or Sniper Elite 3. Silver = 2 of the 3, Gold = all three.
