• The Collective Alliance suffers a huge loss with the death of Emperor @Aekiel and Queen Virpim den Piriam (@Bioplague); it's almost like the AI has taken over the Dominion of K'Aelia and the Empyreal, leaving the alliance under the leadership of the Highborn Ascedancy (Basilisk);
• Insurgents surge within the Interstellar Nerubian Imperium (@Jon), forcing their overlord to take arms and restore the peace;
• Agents are sent to the Pinonians (Player) to negotiate terms of Alliance, sadly the Empire of Avtyrria (AI) is against their inclusion within the Collective Alliance;
• The Collective Alliance declares war upon the Pogovon Polity (AI) and quickly take control of Banthary and Hojjam systems;
• Under the guidance of the Collective agents, the Pinonians declare war upon the Pogovon Polity;
• The Pogovon Polity surrenders to the Collective;
• The Pogovon Polity's fleet is still strong and focuses its attention upon the Pinonian - the penguinoids' fleet is decimated and their planets are under siege by the Pogovons;
• In a brilliant political move, Arch prophetess Dalurkot I of the Highborn Ascendancy (Basilisk) trades Baranthin and Hojjam to Space England (@Palindrome) and secures a guarantee of independance, military and civilian access and numerous resources in exchange;
• Space England (Palindrome) declares war upon the remaining Pogovon Polity (AI);
• The Collective Alliance more militarist member refuses to include either the Pinonians or the Space English within their rank and it leaves no choice for the Highborn Ascendancy but to declare war upon the Pinonian to secure their system and prevent Space England from controlling the whole eastern sector;
• The Pogovon Polity (AI) surrenders to Space England (Palindrome) and cedes all of its territory;
• The Hojjam system is renamed Space Canterburry, and the Banthary system to Space Brisbon; *
• The Collective secures the Faltus system for the Empyreal (Bioplague - AI) and forces the Pinonian into vassalage;
• Following a bureaucratic mistake from the Parliament of Space England (Palindrome), war was declared upon the Pinonians and consequently, its Overlord the Highborn Ascendancy (Basilisk). Queen Antonella I scrambled to appease the Alliance and the war was averted before any fleet engaged; *
• Words of an advanced civilization (FE - AI) invading the Divine Azathoth Empire (Belra) and humiliating them reaches the Highborn Ascendancy (Basilisk) - they were forced to killed their very own Divine Leader!;
• The Divine Azathoth Empire (Belra), and consequently the Dys Divine Salty Spider Federation, declares war on the Galactic Jhoolian Cartel (AI);
• The reports of the Jhoolian-Azathoth war is sparse due to the distance of the conflict, but we have reason to believe the Shoggoth (Belra) used heavy bombardment to secure their objectives;
• The Collective Alliance declares war upon the Jess'Inax Centralized World (AI), a small primitive species that just reached the technology to explore the stars. After a few months of war, the primitives surrenders and the Hokaja system is ceded to the Empyreal (Bioplague - AI);
• Enraged by the Divine Azathoth Empire (Belra) disregard for alien lifeform and their stubbornness in researching forbidden tech, an advanced civilization known as Wessari Homeworlds (FE - AI) declares war upon the Dys Divine Salty Spider Federation - they demand blood;
• A message is sent, the Federation will cedes multiple worlds and the Divine Azathoth Empire will change its policies regarding slavery and purging, and will send its leader to be executed by the Wessari Homeworlds (FE - AI);
• The Dys Divine Salty Spider Federation hesitates for a moment, but there is no choice to be had. The combined strength of their alliance gathers to push back against the invaders;
• The technology of the Federation is no match against the might of the Wessari and soon the battlelines are pushed back into the very heart of the Interstellar Nerubian Imperium;
• Sensing blood, the Collective Alliance reaches a consensus and, for the first time in decades, invite another empire to join. Space England (Palindrome) is now part of the Collective;
• The Collective declares war against the Dys Divine Salty Spider Federation for the White Sun, Red Sun and Kelsim systems;
• Stuck between the mighty Wessari Homeworlds and the relentless Collective Alliance, the Federation is hard pressed to defend its borders;
• There is no chance for them, the Federation shatters and the Galaxy is ripped for the taking by the Collective Alliance;
• The Collective Alliance wins.

Addendum: The Fallen Empires are the real winners this day.

 

Also, I find it hilarious how you call our Salty Spider Federation "villains" when you are, in fact, the multisystem mass slaving empire that was highly aggressive and violent.

 

Let's be honest here: It was evil slavers vs. evil slavers with Fallen Empires looming over their shoulders.

 

Well, there was one person who was a pacifist.

 

That was me. I had a perfect, laborless society where science was king and violence was unneeded.

...despite having the best military tech in the game, of course.

Hey now, I never planned to enslave anybody. Just use a mix of happiness and Ethics Divergence to get other races' people thinking my way before they rebel against me. That, and lots of bribes with my absurd energy stockpile and income.

The pink blob in the middle was Salt/Flame's vassal, so their 'Independence' really wasn't.

Also, there was an even larger Fallen Empire, pretty much a perfect circle shape, in that blank area of the Northwest.

 

Hey now, they weren't my vassals. They loved me, and a part of them broke off and rebelled to try and kill my friends every now and then, after which we just conquered that part and sold it back to their empire.

 

Filthy individualist, placing the individual before the Greater Good. In the Collective we were of one mind and had the interest of our whole defended and secured all throughout our history. But your accusations matter not, for history has been written by the victors and your species shall spend its time in the dark caves of Tiraak where it belongs until it no longer remembers its origin. And in years to come, they will say the Collective was right and they will accept their role as slave for that it was they were born to be just as the Highborn were destined to lead them.

That is the way of life, that is for the Greater Good.

What an unnecessary and outdated form of life. While your brutish and unenlightened 'Highborn' muck around in the dirt, our society is one laborless and heedless of such mortal limitations. Our technology is infinite, our wisdom unbound. The concept of your Collective leading us is the same as considering a dog to lead a human; only ever enacted when the human needs use of the dog's limited merits.

I didn't either, to tell you the truth. That's probably why the Collective were so hesitant to let me in on their club.

I cried when I learned of your absence, but as you can see the Highborn rose to the challenge and lead our glorious alliance to victory with help from the Space English and the enslaved Penguinoids.

 

I don't know how you went as long without declaring war on someone.
