regardless if Snape is the resadent lube expert or not the fact still remains, that not matter what one's preffrances are. everyone is diffrent and will never fully aggree on wither or not straight or slash is better.

Maybe that some consideration would be taken so that the person reading would obviously know that what was written was not to be taken seriously. Of course my argument is flawed because guess what, it wasn't an argument. It was a non-serious statement targeted towards an audience that doesn't take everything someone says up the ass. Your taste for well written slash is just that, your tastes. Somethings aren't meant to be written in mainstream. Take the death of Superman. Some writer thought it was time for him to die. But the audience didn't like that so he was brought back later on. Just because someone can write something well doesn't mean it should happen. What if I write that Harry can fly without a broomstick and have 7 animagus forms and I write it well. Is that ok? If you enjoy well written butt secks then more power to you, that doesn't mean its good.

 

I have to agree with him on this one because of the fact that most femslashes have plots, Well more femslashes have plots than slashes any way. The fact remains that most people by the poll say that slash is bad.

I'm like the only guy who doesn't like girl on girl loving. It leaves me sexually frustrated to watch only and especially when I realize that they don't like guys.

 

i had to vote slash. it was such a big gap.
personally, i like both slash and M/F and i'll read either if it's written well

 

Straight for sure. i've seen slash ruin some of my most favorite fics.

 

Slash, Femslash, Straight, NONE of the above, and ALL of the above. I wouldn't know what to choose otherwise since I like all of them.

 

Being bi, I think I am in the best place to appreciate all worlds.

I can appreciate f/f for the obvious delight of two girls together.... I also think there is some really well done stuff in this genre.

I can appreciate m/f because, however it is, it works for me. I used to avoid m/f after I got too fed up with the cliches of this genre, but then I got fed up with the cliches of slash and had to go back to m/f in order to find 'original' fanfiction

I can appreciate m/m because I think Harry/Draco is just yumm, and I am sickly attracted to Harry/Snape

 

Snape is gross. It doesn't matter if you are heterosexual, homosexual, or asexual. He is gross. I remember someone saying on a different thread that girls like slash because the guys in the story are better developed for romance. Before HBP, I'd say that Draco was about the most one-sided character in the story, next to Dudley. He didn't get much better. I perfer a story with as minimum romance as possible, if for no reason other than there are so few fuckable characters in the story, and none of whom are compatable with Harry.

 

This poll should have a both option. I know I like both, and I also know that both have some truly horrid fiction. But I take what I can get. I've read dobby/hagrid(i threw up a little) and Umbridge/Harry( I died a little on the inside).
