I'm also quite happy with this story and must commend it for mostly-proper grammar. I particularly enjoyed a slightly different Rufus; he brings a more enjoyable method to the manipulation.

I was tempted to not even bother with this fic after seeing the Guardian!Snape. However, feeling the need to punish myself for some reason I read it anyway.

1. The plot is unoriginal and uninspired - 2/5
2. Snape doesn't die horribly - 1/5
3. Harry is an idiot and emo - 1/5
4. Harry learns uber-skills in under a year - 1/5

I stick by my judgemental attitude that Guardian!Snape fics will always leave a desire for violence in the reader.

I just finished this story and I am so grateful for having read it! It was a long story but well worth the time. I loved the unique relationship that Severus and Harry shared and it was interesting that Rufus Scrimgeour played such an important part in the story. He tends to be an underused character in fanfiction.

 

I gotta say, I actually like this. Really, I'm surprised how well this is written. Sure, the angst is a bit heavy at the start, but a lot of fics in general start out weird without knowing what they want to be. The author deserves props tho, daily updates isn't easy to maintain, and they take feedback really well. All in all, apart from the beginning (which is a 3/5), I'd give this 4.5/5 overall easy.
