Season 4 Episode 6 : Yellow Fever

I saw it during the episode, but never actually looked it up on Youtube - the rest of the show drowned it out. It's a lot of fun now that I can simply enjoy it.

 

The season premiere is tonight. Between this, Nikita, and Fringe, my night is full...

And that sounds kind of pathetic now that that I think about it.

 

Death is a boss

 

It was a really good episode, and I'm excited to see the old ones; but Misha Collins must get very confused having to plays all these different personas. His newest persona fell kinda flat for me.

Was anyone as surprised as I was to see Lucifer?

And yes, Death is a boss.

 

Mark Pellegrino was in the opening credits, I guess he'll have a recurring role.

Also, Castiel D:

 

The laughing, maniacal, crazy-eye Leviathan persona?

I thought that was great. The look on his face was pretty much how I imagine Harry in my Wastelands/Heartlands stories looking most of the time. Awesome.

I really enjoyed this season opener. The rebuild, the Cas self-imploding and killing swaths of zealots. Changing the Jesus stained glass window to his good self.

I'm glad they didn't drag Cas as God out for the season. It would have been a waste.

All in all, high hopes for the story arc!

 

I didn't find it intimidating in any way. It just felt lacking. The maniacal laughter felt forced, as if Misha was trying too hard to differentiate from his other personas.

 

I really like this show just finished the episode, it may be heresy but I feel a grizzled Nicholas Brendan would make a great Leviathan!Cas. Then again he wouldn't be nearly as great as Old!Cas, and I'm not even sure on God!Cas.

Looking forward to lots of Lucifer, and hopefully Death and Crawley as well.

 

Fantastic opener, I loved the concept of the Leviathans and I love that Mark Pellegrino is back .

 

Hell yes, he made the Prince of Darkness a fucking boss.

 

I'm not too psyched about this season thus far. While this episode was good, I can't see too consistent and good a storyline following from this switch from God! Castiel to Leviathian! Castiel. And you just know that they're not going to mention anything about the scores of religious zealots and people that Castiel massacred, the people he cured, or that one political office he straight up murdered.

 

They did mention it. You watched it happen.

Dean, Sam and Bobby bound Death himself to kill Cas to put a stop to his murderous rampage.

That was the whole point of the episode, wasn't it, because God Cas was indestructible. Sam and Dean literally could not kill him themselves, even though they wanted to.

Which led to another awesome part of the episode: scotch and 'toon porn.

 

It was definitely 1000x better than the season 6 premiere.

 

Lawl god I cracked the hell up at Dean getting hammered while watching hentai.

 

Cas as God :awesome
He was doing pretty good, then everyone died. Speaking of, couldn't Cas Resurrect the people he killed by accident?

 

As the Leviathans currently possessing my body would say,

"Oh, this is going to be so much fun."
