Also, not that I mind, really, am actually quite happy about it, but why exactly didn't they kill Crowley?

 

Because he's a Magnificent Bastard (tm), and is basically too tough, cynical , and ruthless for even the Supernatural writers to actually manage to kill. The guy is a really hard target.

 

I am aware why the writers didn't kill him, but why didn't Sam and Dean. What was their reasoning?

 

Sam, Dean, Cas and Crowley are going to unite heaven, Earth and Hell under one glorious equal society and people will give flowers to each and dance in the streets laughing at little David and his demon next door neighbour kid doing something hilarious and god will appear and say that was all he wanted after all and the world lived happily ever after.

 

Yeah, I thought not killing Crowley was a fucked up decision, even more so because they didn't explain the reasoning at all. Probably because the writers had no idea why they'd just decide to spare a demon for no good reason.

I'd have preferred it if the Winchesters had turned on Crowley, and he escaped somehow. Some stupid escape would be preferable to just throwing logic out the door.

 

At this point, it would take Chuck Shirley Himself to kill Crowley permanently.

Or maybe Crowley made a divine Deal (that's brain melting...)

 

CW passed on Supernatural Bloodlines. So that was a waste of an episode.

Thank Chuck. There was nothing redeemable about that pilot, let alone capable of sustaining a spinoff.

 

Good. That episode destroyed the momentum the season had built up thus far. And it disregarded established SPN canon. Suddenly shape-shifters don't shed skin and just instantly change like Mystique? Whatever.

 

Sme old SPN fics I haven't read in ages. I don't know how well the quality holds up, but these were on my favorites.

Can I nitpick something?

What happened to demons man? It hit me again in the Cain episode but they've become utter pussies. And I don't mean the logical nerfing that has to happen once you start dealing with beings like Archangels and weapons like the Colt. They're just stupider. Unless they're a named character they never use telekinesis, instead they show up in fratboy meatsuits and just go for a direct punch-out. They don't even seem to have the super-strength they had before. They've become the mooks for just about no good reason.
