Eh it was indeed very funny but it was a filler break in the wrong spot, the way I see it this entire episodes plot could have been summed up by "Dean bad shit is happening and you need to stop being a pussy." However the next episode looks very interesting what with Sammy and the anonymous evil blonde of doom.

Look at the name, it should be obvious.
Actually, I liked today's episode. Obviously, it wasn't going to match the intensity level of last week, so they had to go in another direction. I think a lighthearted and humorous episode (which still manged to advance the storyline) was a good decision. It was actually a pretty funny episode with some great lines. The suicides were pretty fucked up, especially the microwave.

I'm wondering where they are going with the Zacharias thing, but I like him so far.

"Details are everything! You don't wanna go fighting ghosts without any health insurance!"

The little things were pretty humourous as well, like how Dean was amazing at research and went to Stanford while Sam slacked on his job constantly.

    Pretty good episode.

I'd have rather seen a normal episode with Zachariah telling Dean to harden the fuck up at the end. If they did want to do an episode like this, they should have done more to make Sam and Dean's new lives worthwhile and given them an actual choice at the end. As it was, there was nothing holding them in those lives other than jobs they hated, making the decision too easy. It was like God was testing them at the kiddie table.

Anyone else notice Sam mentioning his girlfriend Madison? That was the werewolf chick he had a one-night stand with and killed a while back. Thought it was an interesting touch that they used her rather than Jessica.

I never really followed this show until a couple weeks ago, but I've now seen most of last season and all of this season. The introduction of angels storyline has sucked me in. I think this show has really hit its stride and most of all this season has been great TV.

I felt particularly proud that the dental hygienist in tonight's episode was from Bloomington, Indiana. But this moment early in the episode I had to rewind because I was laughing so hard.
    Doesn't. Seem. To matter.

I don't think I've identified with a character's pain quite so accurately before.

Tonights episode was much better. I think when I heard him yell "I am the Prophet Chuck!" I about died laughing and the "Winchester Gospels" were hilarious as well. Im fairly bombed right now so Im not going to go much furhter but Lillith was hot as hell even when she did the eye switch thing.

It must've pissed off all those wincest fangirls. XD

Yeah, today's episode was awesome. The ending confused me though. How can an Angel threaten a Prophet?

And is the Apocalypse part of Revelations, which is part of Prophecy? Doesn't that mean it has to come true? That means that Sam and Dean can't stop it. o_o

I loved when the prophet is asking about certain events that Dean and Sam went through and then apologieses for crappy writing.

This might be the only show that could take a self-mocking, fourth-wall parody episode and turn it into something, not only substantive, but crucial to the overall storyline.

And I don't think Zacharias was really threatening Chuck, he was just telling him the way it is. There's a million ways the angels could stop him from contacting Sam and Dean without actually hurting him. If anything, the notion of bringing him back to life if he committed suicide seemed like more of a threat.

My husband and I are still hotly debating over whether or not the Chuck episode was the Supernatural writers jumping the shark or not. He thinks it might be, but he also admits that every time he thinks the show has reached its peak, the next episode comes up with something that tops it. I don't think they've jumped the shark yet, nor do I think it's going to happen in what's left of the season.

It was a threat. Everything was a threat. See, angels are not nice on this show. Even Castiel, arguably the most human angel I've ever seen in television, is a cold, hard asshole when he has to be. Humans are not going to be allowed to screw up anything that might stop the Apocalypse from happening, and they don't have any compunction about letting them know either. Zacharias seems like a nice guy, but just like Castiel, he's an angel, and they aren't really the good guys in the plot either.

Though it does bring me to wonder... how much longer is it going to be before Castiel teeters right over the brink into Falling like Anna did?

Supernatural's only due for one more season, which is awesome, in my books. I'll miss the show when it's gone, badly miss it like I miss Galactica, but the point of the series is to have a logical end point. If they push another season after the Apocalypse, well... they'll outlive their timeslot, I think.

Might be for the best. There is a new episode of The Office tonight that will run an hour so it probably would of hurt the Supernatural ratings.

People of Dark Lord Potter, I beg for your help. Out here in the Middle East, we haven't even got season 1, and I've been watching the damn episodes on Youtube. Unfortunately Youtube doesn't like people posting Seasons 3 and 4 for some inane reason, and I ask of you all, link me to a website where I can watch or download the later seasons.

My favorite site for streaming TV show's is sidereel. They usually have multiple links for each episode incase one does not work.

    Hope that helps.
