Very glad at Irene is playing. Because if there is one sure thing about Irene, it's that she has guts and a determination to win. An admirable trait in Survivor.

I'm not interested in playing, for now, but just wanted to tell you that the game looks awesome. Looks creative and interesting, and hopefully those challenges will be a big highlight - thanks for making it!

 

With that, we should have enough people for 16 castaways. I'll have to double-check with Lamora if he actually intended to sign-up (as opposed to merely make a quirky comment), but in that case, Gambit will have to be a Reserve.

Thank you, Palindrome! Actually, I'd prefer if you were one of the Commentators, not just a mere Observer, since all good television shows need a commentator, so that I can laugh and talk about the game with at least one of my good friends.

You keen on being a Commentator? It comes with the perk of accessing all QTs and smirking alongside me, with our knowledge of what's going on. :3

Castaways, thank you for expressing interest in SURVIVOR: DLP. It really is a new brand of game, different to and more involving than mafia. Be warned that by signing up, you have agreed to and will be expected to participate in Challenges (unless seeming weaker than you actually are is a strategy to being underestimated). Do not be surprised if during Tribal Council, I ask you questions which prompt your fellow castaways to note your inactivity in Challenges and thus perhaps contemplate eliminating you.

The weak person dragging the team behind, after all, needs to be jettisoned! Only one winner exists, and that's the Sole Survivor!

Other than that, be prepared for a game which incorporates both social and strategic aspects. Outwit, outplay, and outlast your fellow contestants through wit, guile, and sheer out-manoeuvring.

The game will start in early February. More details will be announced closer to the day.

Okay, a bit of time to wait, but I assume you're using that to come up with challenges and the likes. Sounds pretty damn fun at this point.

 

Possibly, if there's not too much work in it. I might not have an awful lot of free time to spare.

 

It doesn't involve much work at all. You simply get access to all QTs and, whenever you feel like it, you can post the "juicy" excerpts to the Observers in their Observers QT. Think that you're the television presenter and the Observers are the home-viewers: you're giving them what you think are the highlights from the 'show'.

Essentially, it can be as little or as much work as you want it to be. You can work at your own pace, and I'm okay with you don't do a lot when you're busy. There's absolutest no pressure on you.

Everybody, please welcome our latest Commentator, Palindrome. She will be similar to Jeff Probst and provide "Probstian" commentary in the Observers' QT, giving her two cents and highlights on the game as it provides. Can't wait for her view on some of the players' antics.

Hi guys, I'm here to inform you that the start date for this game has been pushed back to February 11th, because my exams are have postponed to the 10th! Apologies for this delay.

Now, everybody has already been allocated their roles and their Houses. You will receive a link to your QT, informing you of your role, on the 11th. However, I would like everybody whose name appears on the following list of players to confirm that they are playing by posting in this thread.

For the Reserves list, everybody who has posted in this thread that they want to be a Reserve have been added. Like the actual television show, however, the Reserves will not be ranked by order of first-come-first-serve; instead, I will be offering them a spot depending on the player leaving the game and whether the reserve will fulfil the previous player's previous social dynamics.

Since a lot of this may seem like bad news to you guys (especially the pushing back of the start date), I've created a little something for you guys to chew on while you wait for the game to begin.

Some players are depicted as girls, simply because the real game of Survivor has pretty even gender ratios and I felt obliged to pay tribute. I literally flipped a coin to decide who will be a girl in the video and who won't. Also, the contents of the video do not indicate in anyway the roles of the players.
