Once again, Immunity is back up for grabs

Welcome back, castaways, to the Immunity Challenge. Before we start, Hufflepuff, I'll be collecting your Immunity Statue. And thus, the Statue and Immunity is back up for grabs.

Now, how many of you have read the Tree Mail? Tree Mail is normally quite informative, hinting of future events to come. Your last Tree Mails read something like this, I believe:

"You have caught me in a spell that is anew with every step"


Many of you predicted that this will be a word-oriented puzzle, specifically an anagram-based challenge. You are correct... and incorrect. Additionally, some of you assumed that this Challenge will involve "Spelling" one of your own with Harry Potter spells? We certainly do not tolerate witchcraft on DLP Island! However, Tree Mail never lies...

Today's Immunity Challenge is be a linguistic-oriented challenge, Spelling Race. For this Challenge, you will compete as your two Houses and will be, you guessed it - spelling words. It's not quite an anagram but it will certainly be something that will keep you caught up!

How this Challenge will work is that the two Houses will attempting to spell out and create as many words as they can. In this Spelling Race, each player must post one letter of the alphabet on a thread, one letter at a time, and the other Housemates will post letters sequentially afterwards to construct a full word. When a word ends, you will be given points: one point per letter in that word.

Each Houses must start with the letter "a" and must create a total of 26 words (all in order of the alphabet). When the deadline ends in 24 hours from now, the tHouse with the most number of points will win Immunity.

To make this Challenge a bit more interesting, your House QTs will be temporarily disabled until the conclusion of the Challenge. You will have 24 hours for this Challenge. As many or as few of you can participate in this Challenge, with the exception of Schrodinger who will have to sit out this Challenge.

Other Rules for Spelling Race:​

- You cannot post anything other than the letter, which means you can't tell people which word are you planning to write.

- Tampering with the other House's work will result disqualification of the violating House.

- You can't edit a letter after you commented it.

- The starting letter cannot be chosen: it will always be the next letter in the alphabet from the previous starting letter.

Akso, remember that you cannot post again until 5 castaways (Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw) have posted. Don't rush this challenge, because you have plenty of time and this challenge is very easy to screw up. If a word cannot be made from the letters already posted, you will receive 0 for that word amd must move onto the next word (with the new starting letter). Feel free to start another word whenever yoi wish.

Plurals and names are not allowed. I will be using dictionary.com
