Has anyone found a decent solution for using a tablet (windows) as a second screen via Bluetooth? I've tried searching, but haven't come up within anything that'll work.

I need the second screen for powerpoint presentations (so I can control the presentation with my tablet).

You can always use a screen mirroring program like Teamview.

I've used that before, but it's based on network connections rather than bluetooth, right?

I found a workaround to my problem by booting up an old android tablet and downloading the office remote to it. It allows me to read the screen better than using my phone, but I'd still like to actually use my windows tablet as a second screen and push the Presenter screen to it.

Yep, that's what I'm using now.

The problem is, it won't work on a Windows Tablet, as it sees the tablet as a computer, rather than a phone type device. Honestly, that's what got this thread started in the first place.

Anyone know how to spoof the software to make it think its running on a windows phone?

Have you thought about turing your laptop (at least I assume it's a laptop) into a wifi access point/hotspot with something like Virtual Router? Might take some time to set up, but you could then use a far wider range of apps like TeamViewer or even Microsofts own Remote Desktop app. Unless there's other reasons that you want to specifically use Bluetooth?

    What Sacro said.

It's super easy to turn a smartphone into a wifi hotspot for your devices.

That's a pretty brilliant idea. I haven't even thought about turning a laptop into a wife access point. Thanks, I'll look into it!

I already do that with my phone, but I didn't want to involve three different devices just to share a screen.
