And the funniest thing is, he hasn't even clarified what he meant yet.

That could mean any number of things.

1. Tell me, DLP, how would you react if Harry Potter (the series) was all a dream.

2. Tell me, DLP, how would you react if Harry Potter (the character) was all a wet dream of Ginny's.

3. Tell me, DLP, how would you react if Harry Potter's life in the series was all a dream, and the series started over with him getting his first letter.

Well if he meant what would we do if JKR ended the series with Harry waking up to discover it was all just a dream--I would send her hate mail and curse her name. That would be the biggest fucking ripoff ever. She has to be smarter than that--that's like some shit out of soap opera land. Like on that show Dallas when one of the popular characters got killed and then on the series finale his girlfriend woke up to discover that the previous two years worth of epps had been "just a dream". Bull-fucking-shit.

Now--if you meant what would we do if we woke up to discover that the Harry Potter books were all a dream--well that's just stupid. I don't understand why I would be dreaming of reading, writing fanfiction about, and discussing some book online...

 

The "all a dream" cop-out is something they do in soap operas quite often. It's quite frankly cliche and an expected plot twist. That said... I can't believe I missed this slaughter.
