Ah, there we go; your theory about the surviving material from the bombing was correct.

Saw it and disliked it. Bale was a fucking cock head. The Marcus stole the show, he was epic. Bale just did his deep voice too much and no one really gave a shit about him. He suddenly went from solider to in charge. What a fucking douche.

Also, that half asian chick was fucking stupid, yeah lets free the terminator and fuck up the base defenses, real smart.

T800 was pimp. Although too fucking weak. All the terminators were fucking stupid as shit. Skynet itself was fucking epic though, pretty badass.

Also, John breaking into skynet was fucking shit.

Overall, a good story and shitty bale to fuck it all up.

Agreed on all points. Marcus was pretty damn awesome, and the Skynet Xanatos Gambit was fucking awesome, even if I did see it coming from the start.

Still, the action scenes were works of art and I laughed my ass off when Bale rode a Machine to Skynet Central XD.

Also, isn't Skynet decentralised so much that destroying one place would barely put a dent in its bumper?

According to T3 but you gotta wonder how they maintain the network in war times.

Skynet would have to be decentralized to hundreds of bases across the globe.

It's like the internet, but make every computer it the entire network do the one purpose and you get skynet, remove a lot of it via nukes and you will see a huge performance loss, but if you kept certain key locations safe, you could effectively keep building upon these locations to a level far beyond the internet's processing ability. It's already known that the network is in place via wireless, seeing as how the terminators can communicate with SkyNet and SkyNet can take direct control of them, effectively, all the terminator's are part of the network aswell and we all know how powerful those chips are, imagine buildings of the chips all hooked up together, it would be fairly insane.

So yes, taking out a location key to the network would hurt a lot in terms of processing power, as would the death of each terminator, it's just that SkyNet has the ability to keep expanding it's own network.

Why did Christian Bale carry on doing his ridiculous Batman voice? Wasn't the ridicule he got last summer enough?

The T-800 was fucking amazing though. Leaving a heart inside of Marcus is a pretty big design flaw by comparison.

Actually seeing Skynet though was weaksauce. You're rather slapped in the face by how much of a clichéd evil AI it is when it's doing the whole "imitating people and revealing my evil plans" in finest Evil Overlord fashion. It was much better when it was just a ominous faceless (literally) threat that we never saw, but whose hand could be detected in all of the films events.

It's face was ever changing though, it's still a faceless evil, it took the form of anything around you, that's why it's so badass.

Agreed. He had his moments ("I'll be back.") but overall I thought his performance was pretty weak.
