I somehow doubt this show will be cancelled.

The episode was good, not orgasmic, but the way Derek went out was fucking weak.

Around a corner,
JH's acting was awesome, but look, another Terminator. The other guys who attacked were human, and the other Skynet program got the schematics for where the Chip was/is from hacking into JH, all of a sudden it's got it's own terminators? But still, Derek was awesome, if anything, when Sarah got arrested, he could of molded John into a killing machine, having John go off now is going to look weak.

I don't think Derek should of went out in a blaze of glory, but if Charlie got an awesome ending, so should of Derek. Like him being killed and replaced unknown to us, by a terminator.

Cameron finds out, kills "Derek" in front of John with a grenade to the chest, John goes to set off the watch, she stops him, and then she takes the chip and shows John a replay file of the real Derek's torture and death at the hands of the other Skynet or something. Something like that would of been a million times better.

I was saying it to Jon yesterday. Derek was a main character with an established background- more established than Charlie. They could have made his death, or even the aftermath of his death, a little more significant. I mean, what, 30 seconds of John looking teary and that's it? And, given what they've set up in the next episode, they're probably not going to do it there.

That said, I suppose it might be a good thing that they're taking a step back from the angsty cry-baby John. It's awesome to see how his character has progressed from the start of Season 2 to the end.

Derek's death was a complete bail. Also, Mid: Other SkyNet has had Terminators before, remember the Nuclear Power Plant? The terminator there was from SkyNet with Weaver being from the third faction who obviously have their own ulterior motives with everything, trying to mold the future to their needs. The HK was also from SkyNet. Now I truly believe Weaver is the T-1001 from the sub, the same theme music was playing. I don't think she would kill John on sight. Also, Sarah getting caught is a bitch, I can see some walking through walls by Cameron soon. Either into John Henry's basement or to find Sarah.

 

I thought the NPP was a terminator from future Skynet. This one was supposed to be current time, fledgling program that's hosted on the net and still learning. It wouldn't of needed the chip information from John Henry if it had its own termys.

I don't think she would kill John on sight. I dunno about John, but she doesn't kill Sarah, Sarah meets her in the next episode, Cameron appears to go into a lockdown area with a shotgun, probably to get her free.

 

John Henry's brother is the REAL SkyNet, as in it in the future sent that terminator back in time. It got the information from John Henry to accelerate it's own development.

 

I actually liked how Derek died.

It wasn't melodramatic and overly lengthy. The around the corner shot to the head was a good thing, as I just blinked and went wtf, DEREK DIED?!.

More realistic and enjoyable.

I can't wait to see more of the 'real Skynet'.

There are three possibilities I see here:

1.) The Terminators are unrelated to the present Skynet, which is right now probably a military computer. The Terminators could just be protecting it and sent from the future, having no contact with the actual present Skynet.

2.) The future Skynet sent a smaller copy of itself into the past with several Terminators to protect its interests. The present Skynet interfaces with its future Terminators because it has knowledge of them.

3.) There is no present Skynet. The being that attacked John Henry is simply a T-888 attached to the internet sent from the future to shut down competing candidates for 'Skynet' (that is, one made from the third faction).

Unrelated, but I wonder if the T-1001 will ever make a choice that will favor her 'daughter' over the mission, simply out of 'emotional' attachment. Would be very interesting.

 

I agree with this. It reminds me of real combat, where sometimes your friends just die, and you never get the chance to try and help them or comfort them. One minute they're there, then they're not.

I actually knew a guy who's last words were "Britney Spears" We were playing the name game, and someone said Kobe Bryant, he answered with Britney Spears, and then he was dead.

Doesn't happen too often like that, but when it does, it's pretty fucking terrifying to really see how fast a person can die.

Middy: Must say that second video was put together fucking well. I've done some video editing for a film clip before and to say that the editing done in that clip was top notch is an understatement. I wouldn't surprised if they aren't doing it professionally, it was that well put together.

 

You see the Kelly Clarkson video I linked before? I think the folks who did that did an even better job capping the emotions. There's one to a Taylor Swift song that is pretty uber in how they fit the show exactly to the song.

 

Holy freaking crap. It just gets more and more epic. The final episodes are just going to be John and Cameron raising hell.

They are both quite well done, the second one is amazing, the timing and the editing are both well done, but the flashes were irritating as hell. I don't think it captures the music particularly well but the melding of shots to build a mood is top notch and the sort of thing I'd expect of professionally made trailers. My only problem as I said was that the flashes were too bright, which would be easy enough to fix by changing the white color used to gray.

 

Found this after looking at the Whispers one. Also good editing, with a longer and strangely appropriate song.

Cameron breaks Sarah out of jail and gets fucked up, they meet Weaver who shows them she is a T-1001 protecting them from the HK, Cameron gives John Henry her chip for the body, putting herself into John Henrys server and him into her, John Henry fucks off into the future, John and Weaver go to the Future to see Derek and Kyle and Cameron who doesn't make dogs crazy. HOLY FUCKING SHIT. I hope we have the whole two plots going in Season 3 with John in the future with Weaver and John Henry aswell as Sarah and Ellison in the past fighting SkyNet.

 

If they cancel this, I'll be decidedly unamused...

Epic episode is epic.
