I was wondering what you guys use to turn text a different color, different color back round and color sentences wrapped in "s. It gets hard to read that dang black on white all the time. . .

I think you can change this only when downloading stories on HD, not whe reading them online.

For page background and text color, I simply change .css files that came with the pages (if you downloaded them properly). If you can't manage, I can send you mine (black background, white text, Verdana font and text size of around 40pt, so it can be read from afar).

As for colloring quoted text, you generally can't do that. As for myself, I was pissed off by some overlong paragraphs with a lot of text, so I wrote a program to color the quotes. I just Copy & Paste (or browse for) a path where the html's are and run it through the program, with setting to color all the quoted texts in light blue (which matches black background).

It's not always working perfectly, meaning that at times it mixes up quoted and normal text, but that's not so important, since the point is to distinguishe these parts, not have them color-coded. I can send you this program too, it's not much (written in 3-4 hours), but it serves the purpose.

    In firefox it's simple.

    Tools>Options>Content>Colors

Choose background and text colors, and uncheck the box that says "Aloow pages to use their own colors instead of the ones chosen above"

This thread is going haywire for me. It always stops at Ip's "E-mail" post and says there's only three replies. . . Could someone IM me the solution since I can't see the rest of the page?

Oh man, I love tabbing. It's much better than the days where everything on my start bar was all bunched together.

I use firefox and I usually turn the background to a cream color and the text blue because it seems to strain my eyes the least.

    sarcasim? or legitimate question?

If it's a legit question, it's one of the most, if not the most popular IE-alternative to web browsing.
