I'm not sure what your point is even if I grant your premise. Like, let's say I've talked a lot, previously, about how I think you've got a fantastic wolf game and I'm really afraid to rand v against your w and everything. What would the point you're making in this game look like, exactly? "Newcomb shouldn't accuse me of posting something that obviously wolfy, since I'm a better wolf than that"? Is that about the size of it?

Newcomb, I think you're reading Vaimes on a level that he has since surpassed. I don't think your townread on him is good. Sure, he's been great tonally this game, but he hasn't actually talked about reads in a way that I think is meaningfully town for him and I think that's how people should be reading him these days and if you disagree talk to me about that aspect of his play?

How have I jumped around? How is my play like that game?

Go through my ISO and look at my reads. I've found fonti consistently town, eased slowly into that read and have ended up feeling comfortable with a townread on her. I found MP7 very town early, and after Jan and Stanari both found him scummy I pulled back on the read and tried to give him a harder look, explored his scumgames and found that his pushes/scumreads were particularly fake and since then have been waiting for him to explore that side of his play rather than just handing out townreads. I suspected Citrus, and made some very direct and intentional interactions with him in order to try to get a better feel for my read on him. I didn't like him, but you came in with a townread, so I cooled off on that, and it wasn't until later when I continued to think about it and he continued to do things that I disliked that I abandoned the townread. I've given Jan a ton of space, not poked him at all, and he's been consistently town for me. I had issues with Stanari early, but when Beru voted them I knew that the chances of them being scum were super low, and I started to give them space and follow them more. I've consistently disliked Beru, mostly for their thread presence, or lack thereof, and pushed them to try to get something from them so that I could resolve the read, once I had finished getting what I wanted from Citrus. I locked Newcomb as town from pretty much his first post and I haven't looked back. I've had a weak townread on Vaimes for most of the game and it has pretty much not changed at all, I haven't pushed on him, I've been very content to just give him space and tell others that I think townreading him strongly is a bad idea. I've disliked fenwicked, I am currently pushing him and I've tried to engage with Vaimes on him, have talked about my read for him and other people to respond to, and have given him something to engage with directly when he comes back so that I can solidify my read there and hopefully get a start on reassessing if he's town. I've consistently disliked smiles, but haven't done a whole lot to push them because I'm mostly fine just giving them space to do their thing at this point, since I don't know them and don't feel I can judge them super accurately without much content. Aside from my drunk push on you, I've given people a lot of space and have only pushed on people in very direct and intentional ways, I have put aside a ton of players from contention for the lynch today and have a functional lynch PoE, I've been engaging with my townreads and looking for spotchecks, so please. Tell me how my play is like that game.

Just going to touch on these quickly since I kind of want us to be able to just lock each other in as town here if we're V/V which I think we are and I think actually talking about your concerns with my play this game rather than "just putting me to the side" or doing whatever you're doing is healthier for both of us and the game.

Played this yesterday in a "I'm not going to have time do really deep big reading", I dislike playing when I have 30 seconds here, 1 minute there, back to work, 2 minutes again etc, it means that I can't actually do a proper "Get into a read progression thought process" type things. So I tried to just focus on reading through lower poster players and get an overview on the game to work with, point out players in the lower posters that I've got concerns with, allow other people to spend time focusing on them so at least that way I'm helping -- you should know pretty well the main way I like to play/use my vote is that I'll wait till I'm caught up, confident/comfortable with a vote.

Decent chance I do the same today, when I've got /strong lock confident/ town reads and people I think I can try and help entirely remove from the pool (ie. Newcomb yesterday) and I flat out just don't think you understand how I read Newcomb at all if you think that's not it? Talk with me about the Tsaiah read if you've got problems with it please? M7's someone that I think thought process wise is actually similar to me at times, is someone I think if I devote some goodreadingtime to and go through his ISO properly I can lock his alignment with a good degree of certainty, haven't had that time and when reading his individual posts going through the thread had some I town read and some posts that bothered me a fair bit, so just figured putting him aside completely was the best way to go; think his posting in the last ~12 hours is very very town fwiw though but again will want to do that deep read on him and realistically, doesn't happen until I'm at a computer that's not work which may be Thursday or may be D2.

Eh, it's harder to differentiate how much of your town read on Fonti is a town read and how much is other things in general, I don't think you've made it particularly easy up until recently. But yeah, will keep in touch about it.

I liked it too, just don't put the same weight on it as you do I think. But yeah, if you & Eido are both town reading him and I've got him as town anyway then I think I can safely just table him and then blame you both if he's scum here, gg.

 

Oh yeah, and Nego. I haven't super agreed with the pushes on them but I've been doing everything I can to get readable content out of them for Newcomb and other people to read. I haven't gone crazy telling people they're stupid for scumreading them, because I don't even townread them barely at all and I think defending someone like that is stupid anyway. So please tell me how the fuck you are reading my play as haywire because as fucking drunk as I've been I think I've been pretty god damn intentional and focused about things.

 

Happens most, if not all games where we're V/V, I'll generally start to doubt and move away from that read in the latter parts of the day phase or the game but it's always a feeling I've had early on and it's not happened this game.

 

Ftr, Newcomb, I think there's a weird disconnect in the emptiness of their process early and the density of their process now. I don't know how much I want to read into that, but I noticed it this morning and thought I would bring it up.

 

If it's a read you never stand by, what worth does it have?

 

First off, thanks for that post. I'm good to lock you in as town and never doubt it from hereon out based on it.

And secondly before I go into this (Since this is mostly now just so you can get an idea of my thought process/get a read on me) it's important that you know not to take any of this personally and instead understand it's more of a "Thoughts that came into my head when thinking about the game / your push & play".

I found your whole "I'm waiting for you to post your reads so you don't copy mine" initially yesterday to be something that I think Scum!You might do more often since I figured Town!You would instantly just acknowledge I'm a) Not going to be around in the early game and b) Not going to be playing this properly until D2+, you then did the "Don't worry about it, take your time" which was nice and I liked.

But then I actually wanted to talk with you about a read (Tsaiah) and wasn't "rushing" that and asked you to comment on it and there was just nothing there and then later you bring up thinking my entrance was bad/underwhelming and thinking my Tsaiah read was fake (Which is the same way you treated me in Disney and the whole dance we had to do there). I was around in the thread, had posted thoughts on a lot of players, lots of thought process, was expecting you to comment on some, respond to some, interact with me since I'd finally put some time into this game (Time which imo I didn't/don't have), instead there was nothing. I found your posts while I was around and the lack of posts at time rather concerning and at a time few times thought "Oh god, she's just away somewhere laughing about me having read her wrong and stating she was strongly town" / "She's trying not to post as much while I'm here hoping I don't notice I'm wrong on her" and kept going "Nah, I still think she's town but ugh".

Then come and check on the game at night time and see that posts from you and your push on me and think it's super genuine and just a repeat of Disney re; how you're going to handle/play with me here and feel good about you being town before ending up spending a lot of time on the trip to work today thinking "well fuck, it's very possible her play as scum is to try and just hit the notes she did in Disney where she knows I town read and think that's the solution to being scum in this game". But yeah, it's not the case. Was a concern I have. Hopefully that clears most of that up.

I forgot how nuts D1 is, been trickle-reading thread all day and I'm barely caught up as is.

Not a huge fan of ~12 hours of wasted pressure time on a slot that proceeds to replace out without a response but it is what it is.

Hmm. {Tsaiah, Nego, Kai, Fenwicked!slot, Nothing Happens}. Kai's weight in this is basically as high as it was before the game started, but there's nothing saying it's lower than that so he stays in. This is probably a 4 scum game right? I would be shocked if this has less than 2 scum. At least 2, maybe 3? With 1+ more in Beruru/Miner/Regfan/Fontisian? And then outside group of Vaimes/Jan/Eidolonic which may contain 1 and definitely not 3?
