    It's not really how they dress but rather how they're drawn. You rarely see male or female characters who aren't tall, at least decent looking and looking like their models. With guys it's all abs and muscles (see Robert Leifeld), while women gets drawn with slender figures but massive TnA and in ridiculous poses and shots. DC and Marvel have been better at it than they have recently, but it's still a common feature on the indies.

    Got a point there; constantly swayed hips and non-existent spines have also been plaguing female comic characters for years.

    However, I thought Liefeldian proportions on men died out a while ago, after we started getting stuff like this:

    Liefeld is currently on three different DC books, after the first one he had in the new DC 52 got cancelled. For the record, it was Hawk & Dove then Deathstroke, Savage Hawkman and Grifter.
