Disclaimer: Yes, this is a HG/DM romance. Yes, it is Hermione-centric. But I figure, since there are a few shippers on board, I may as well post it. If you're too repulsed by this pairing to even give a well-written story a chance, then don't even bother clicking on the link.

This story is a somehow manages to successfully combine angsty romance with alien invasion and army tanks. The author, gravidy, is absolutely brilliant with characterization.

It's not too long, so if you're into complex characters and guns, give it a go.

I skimmed through the first chapter and I have to say, it definitely looks promising. I'll probably get to reading the whole thing some time tomorrow. My preliminary impressions are that the writing quality is great and that the story itself is engaging.

It's too far out for me. Alien invasion? That blows HG/DM out of the water.

The aliens work if you think of them as magical monsters or a magical threat in general. I liked the writing, the romance was well thought out and not rushed if you take in account the spells they were under.

What I didn't like was how details seemed so out there that it was ridiculous.
The Beedle book having the answers, the Lordship magic making decisions, some of the magic put on Hermione. All these were a little too convenient for my taste. Scorpius was a little too overused as the feelings for him were artificial, I would expect Hermione going far far away just so she wouldn't be near them. The every day interaction between Hermione and Draco is a little unbelievable but I can get it, knowing that the plot has to go on.

All in all a good read for a couple of hours if you're bored. 3/5

I agree with Greek. A good read if you're bored but not very entertaining otherwise. 2.5/5

Way too bizarre for me. Well that, and I just don't like stories about alien invasions in general.

Okay...where the hell did the aliens come from? And the ending was so...crack-turned-hopeful. The writing itself wasn't bad, but a lot of things don't make sense.

I'm a Dramione shipper, but going from Draco-using-Hermione's-mudbloodedness-to-protect-family to random-fucking-at-Hogwarts just doesn't make sense. I think that might've been desperate shipping on the author's part.

I didn't really like it, but it was written decently and you managed to find not-trash on aff, which is amazing.

    Wat.

I mean there are a variety of wtf things in this story. But the biggest wtf things was the Draco/Hermione relationship. It felt like the author was pushing it as a twue womance when he's like obliviating her and shit. Okay...
