I need HTML copies of the HP books, or .txt files or anything that i can use as a reference.

I realize that piracy is an issue, but i just wnat to use it for reference for when i'm writing...not to distribute it. It would be nice to know exact people and places rather than guess what they were.

If anyone knows where i can find them, or if anyone is in posession of them, please drop me a line. If you have them, can you PM me, please?

    Thanks.

if you have E-mule then you can search it there
search for "ebook Harry Potter" under the "document" category and you should find what you need.
but you might want to make sure that what you download is in the right format - becuase most of the files there are in the .pdf format and that requires you to have Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to view them
i hope that this was helpful

Thanks a lot. I hope this will help...having a reference while i type would kick ass.

As it is, i'm at college now, so i don't have my set of HP books with me...a portable set would work great.

I don't know what _mule is, so i'll google it, unless you have a link for me.

    Thanks.

eMule is peer-to-peer file sharing software. Basically, it connects people all over the world and allows them to share their files (including the HP books).

Once you start the program and connect to one of the servers and KAD network (two different types of sharing), go to search tab, enter "Harry Potter" and select "document" as file type. I suggest you do the search twice, once with "Global Servers" and once with "Kad network" method (pull-down menue next to file type). It may take it a while for download to start, but that depends of several factors - number of people that have this file, number of files you're sharing and time you've spent connected to their server. So, you'll probably have to wait a while...

yes that is what i meant
but if you download with E-mule here are some tips :
    1) most of the times when you search from things - then some of the files in the list of results will be highlighted in blue - that means that they are popular files and that a lot of people have downloaded them pay close attention to this files becuase if you find what you want and it is highlighted in blue then it will save you the time of going through the rest of the list and find what you want.
    2) pay close attention to the name of the file that you are downloading becuase most of the times there are a few letters that signify the language that what you are downloading - if for example you are downloading "harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" from E-mule and in the list of files it appears like this : "HP and the Cos Fr.pdf" then it means that this file is in French and not in english like most people think.
    hope this was helpful

I have HBP somewhere. . . on my DT though, so you'll have to wait a bit for me to send it.
