I personally wonder why the fascination with harry/ginny...where I come from, best friend's sisters are offlimits

 

Where I come from, anyone without a personality is off Limits... Like Ginny, who in cannon, is only good for insulting Ron

 

Was that a play on words there, by changing ginsluts name from Ginerva to Virgina

I read this fic sometime back... I thought it was abandoned... else it was a good enough read. And I do love the story (not movie version of the story) of the Count of Monte Cristo.

 

Didn't like it. Too confusing in the middle of the story. + the Ginny stuff was annoying me.

 

The typos/sentence structure really irritated me.

Not only that, but the plot for the most part was pretty unoriginal, and the descriptions of the castle (and of practically everything else) was excessive.


IMO this isn't worth reading...

 

I have to agree with IP82...story was kinda lame...not much description...stuff like that...wasn't too great. I got bored with it.

Is there a time limit that marks a story as abandoned?
There are a growing handful of writers, some that could be making money writing
original fiction, that are becoming the leaders in HP fan fiction.
In some ways stories like this lessen their efforts.

 

The author has updated one of his other story's, so maybe this has not been abandoned after all?

 

I ignored the Harry/Ginny because I was curious, I think it was worth it though, The characterization of Voldemort was a good one. I don't like Voldemort to win, but I like when authors make interesting rather than irrational.

Actually, if you consider that this story is a tribute to Dumas' Count of Monte Cristo then it will end H/B and not Ginny.

Harry Potter is obviously Edmund Dantes. Ginny is Mercedes. Draco, Ron, Lucius and Voldemort are Cateruss, Denglar, and I don't recall the other two characters. Blaise is the Indian Princess sold into slavery by Draco.

Ron will die in a duel, likely with one of Harry's aides.

Draco will be run into bankrupcy by one of the count's investments, likely involving a faux war between France and another country. He will commit suicide.

Lucius will be killed by Voldemort in an attempt to overthrow the King.

Artie will join the Aurors in an attempt to regain the honor of the family name. BTW, given that Harry has been gone nearly 13 years and Artie is 10 years old he can not be Harry's child now can he? He is Draco's child and even though he hates his father he carries his name.

Ginny and Harry will acknowledge that their love is eternal however they will also accept that Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley are no more. She is Lady Malfoy and will devote her life to aiding her son in reclaiming the family honor and helping those in need. He is the Count of Azkaban and must move forward with his own life. He will sail off into the sunset with the beautiful Indian Princess, or in this case Blaise Zabini.

That's the way the book is.

It doesnt seem all that great, writing isnt spectacular, a few interesting ideas but the plot isnt well thought out - And Ginny's name repeatedly alternates between Ginevra and Virginia

 

This is pretty terrible.
