Therefore it wouldn't be inconceivable for her to want to speed up the process a little. Especially when her father is the most powerful of Denarians...

At least Meciel gave up trying to stop him from swearing. That just didn't make any sense, as it's pretty obvious from DR that Meciel has no trouble corrupting children. Frankly, I'd suggest that you just scrap the entire 'Meciel having a soft spot for kids' notion. It doesn't fit, and it cheapens a very well-developed character. She shouldn't be humanized more than is necessary for her to have a proper relationship with Harry (whether romantic or not).

Love it. The only surprise was the child’s age.

I for one won’t complain if Harry/Daughter grows close to each other provided that Harry doesn’t loose his whole badass attitude of course and hope you don't turn the kid into little miss sunshine just lighten her up a bit, imagine how pissed Maeve will be when her little ice princess says fuck LOL.

People here still seems to think of winter as inherently evil and alien to feeling like love, this is not true. They are just more cool about it

As to the chapter, and the one before, there is little issue or praise that I can raise that has not been mentioned before.

Fantastic work as usual, and I am interested to see how you will take the Harry has children issue further. What I have read so far annoys me much as pets annoy me, but I have faith. Good job and keep working.

It is interesting how the opinions about Amaris seem divided. Others like me are ok with her (for now atleast) and trust that Shezza knows what he is doing, while others find the very idea of a child in this story to be horrible.

I am curious? What is it about the idea of a child in this story that makes you all hate the very idea? Is it the idea of a new character? Or the fact that Harry might change from the way he is now? Or do you think that she will act in some annoyingly childish fashion? What?

As for Meciel having a soft spot for the kids. I thought the whole reason that she fell was that she refused to kill an innocent child of an angel and a mortal when god told her to? Not to mention the fact that she remained within Harry even when he was but a child and helped him instead of crushing his mind in a way similar to what Vesper did.

 

I'm not to worried about the kid. It should be pretty funny to see Hogwart's reaction to Amaris, and she's one creepy little kid. I don't think Shezza is planning on turning Harry and Amaris into some sappy father-daughter thing, so I'm really not that worried about it.

 

I don't know how the fuck anyone thinks adding a kid to the story will make it better. IT HAS NEVER WORKED BEFORE. And while Shezza is a great author I can't see a kid fitting in with this story at all. Needs moar fucking with Faeries and owning Denarians and less fluffly bullshit.

That's exactly it, though. With the way Harry is what little we can tell about Amaris... I can't imagine there being any, as you put it, 'fluffly bullshit'.

Exactly. So you can't really say whether it's going to be a good idea or a bad idea. I like the idea now, but I'm not going to come out and say it's a sure thing. I like the premise. You can't say that this is such a horrible idea, when we've seen one scene with them, and that one scene turned out pretty good.

 

I like the idea of a kid as well, though its a dangerous one. But I believe Shezza knows what he's doing as he's done very well so far.

Anyway, I do like both action and those, as some put it, 'fluffy scenes'. The most important thing in a story is its characters, and only action can't make great characters; there has to be interactions with other individuals.

 

Yeah give Harry a copy of the word of Kemmler.

 

Shezza isn't the author of "Shake Me". Unless something goes horribly, ridiculously, completely wrong, I think it'll turn out fine.

 

Nothing wrong with the kid. As long as she doesn't grow from a plot device into the plot itself I don't have problems with her.

To continue the subject of the brat, (I keep forgetting her name...) I can't wait to see her meet Amanda. Considering Carpenter girl's crush on Harry, the confrontation (and I'm sure it's going to be a confrontation) will certainly be deliciously amusing.

 

A quiet cough jolted Amanda from her daydreams, and she turned in alarm, relaxing when she faced a little girl staring at her curiously.

"You like Harry, don't you?" she asked.

"I like Harry?" Amanda echoed, confused.
