I'm a little confused about Malfoy's assumption that Amaris is a mudblood. I take it it's from Harry's and Amaris's earlier interaction with Umbridge, where he mentioned her being related on his mother's side? I was under the impression that Umbridge didn't exactly believe them then. (Though that would hardly stop her from sharing the information with her inquisitional squad).

Very captivating story so far Shezza. I am enjoying the interaction between Harry and Amaris, I am quite curious to see what side Amaris decides to adopt, human or fae!

 

I refuse to believe that Amaris is too young. Did you see Harry's reaction during the scene where Amaris bit him on the ear? He looked like he was blushing! Clearly the two of them are meant for each other......

I'm not seeing Malfoy-death in the near future. I think Harry would enjoy forcing Malfoy to work for him instead. Well, Harry might not, but Meciel would, and if she were to point out the sheer misery Malfoy would be in knowing he is working to bring down everything he believes in as fundamentally right, I think Harry would listen up.

 

Knowing Amaris, she will probably half kill Draco... Well it would be funny either way

You know, I was thinking about this and it occurred to me that maybe Malfoy WILL/SHOULD get killed?

I mean everything suggests that Dumbledore will get kicked out of the school so that Umbridge can take over. But what happened in canon would be less likely here. Given how skilled Harry is and Meciels ability with illusions it would be difficult to imagine that Umbridge could catch him in the act so to speak. And without needing to protect Harry, why would Dumbledore confess the way he did in canon. A couple of kids calling their defense group after the headmaster is hardly proof enough to fire Dumbledore if he denies all involvement. If it was that easy then Fudge&Umbridge would already have faked something.

However what if Amaris does kill Malfoy? Dumbledore getting kicked out because a child died under his care would be very believable. Especially the child of someone like Lucius Malfoy who has so much control over Fudge. There is a precedent with Fudge and Malfoy senior kicking Dumbledore out because of the basilisk petrifications. And an actual death would be worse.

 

You guys are missing something, if as Dumbledore suspects he is forced to leave he will take Fawkes with him. Meaning that there is nothing to stop Harry or Amaris doing what they wish as long as they don't get Harry expelled. For that matter Maeve could come back to retrieve her daughter.

I will say I dislike the changes in Meciel, I can see her changing her attitude to Harry and Amaris because of her history but I think being reminded of it would make her even nastier to other people. And besides I like the old Meciel better we don’t hear enough about her anymore.

Yes but it would be an even better way to get the ministry out of Hogwarts one Dumbledore had left. A sudden killing spree at Hogwarts as soon as Dumbledore left would be a pretty big incentive to get him back.

 

Yeah, and COMPLETELY ruin any trust or faith Dumbledore has in the chance for Harry to come back to the Light side, and his decision making as a whole.

 

I think by now, Dumbledore has realized that Harry will never come back to the light (if he was ever light sided anyway, being a young child can't count...). I think at this point he's trying to instill as many redeeming qualities as he can.
