Yeah, I thought letting her just break his arm and keep twisting it sitcom-humor style was way more OOC than offering to let her pay for his aid with teh secks. It'd be funny if she broke his arm so he deboned hers Lockhart style. Then made her drink an eeeevil magic potion to get her bones back. Nyuk nyuk nyuk.

 

Just read what you posted on FFN, I liked the very small and subtle changes you made to the Harry/Charity interaction. At least I think there were a few changes, I may of just missed something when I read it as I was really tired last night.

 

Excellent as ever Shezza, only one thing threw me off before re-reading it:
"Charity just grunted, while Hope peeked between Charity’s legs curiously."
But besides that it was excellent, and I hope some one will make a Charity/Harry omake.

 

People are still under the impression that deep down, Harry is a good guy.

In reality, he isn't.

 

I agree though, that update was much to small for my addiction. I did especially enjoy the Charity interaction; I'm looking forward to more.

Though the bit where he talked about other ways of payment did seem a bit too sinister if you see what I mean, Harry is a badass but not a rapist in the way I see it!

Enjoyed this fairly light chapter, was good christmas reading, can't wait for more.

 

I don't think Harry was serious about getting it on with Charity. Yeah, she's hot and he'd bone her if he thought he could get away with it, but it was more teasing than anything. If she hadn't responded by breaking his hand, he probably would have said something sarcastic and left. At least that's how I see him.

Harry's badass, and maybe he's "evil" - but more importantly, he's selfish. A sex fiend, too. But would he rape a grown woman? I don't think he'd get pleasure from it. Yeah, it's an evil act, but Harry's more hedonistic than sadistic. Besides, would Meciel condone Harry raping women?

It is a bit disorienting to read this story, what with a whole month and a half gone by. I almost had forgotten about it.

Good work Shezza, keep up the good work. You're still my favorite female author.

 

She condones Harry killing and torturing women (and men), and so I don't see why she would care if Harry raped someone. Rape is just a form of torture.

 

She also suggested 'arranging' a raping to take care of Hermione, I believe.

 

I'm lost where was rape implied in their interaction? Even with the joke that it was, it wasn't give me money or I bend you over your kitchen table and do whatever I feel like. It was just if she didn't want to pay him he'd be very happy to screw her silly and forget all about the money.

 

I still say that he is a good person when it comes to people he cares about. He wouldnt willingly let anyone hurt Amanda for example.

But sex, cussing, lieing, torture, and joking about it is part of what makes Harry Harry. Would he have sex with Charity? HELL YES until some part of his brain kicks in that says Michael would turn him into sushi. Would he joke about it with Charity or suggest it? He does it to everyone else what makes Charity so special that he wouldnt do it to her?

 

I wouldn't say that. I would merely say that Harry is very selfish. Amanda is his to belittle, insult and beat around. His property, his follower. He's possessive of his things and doesn't like other people to damage them, basically.

 

He'd probably worry a little afterward.

 

Now that I think of it, how much sex has Harry actually had? Unless there has been some "offscreen-action", then Maeve is actually the only one Harry has really slept with right? Despite his constant flirting he seems more talk than action. Which is kindof funny actually.

I wonder how he would actually have reacted if Charity had surprised him by accepting his proposition .

 

First of all, it was an awesome chapter if a bit short for my tastes. I especially loved the Hope and Harry interaction, perhaps because of how blunt little children seem to be and Harry's reaction to some of what she says. The come-on towards Charity seemed to me very in character when I read it, so I don't really understand where some of you are coming from. We've already seen him pretty much propositioning pretty much every attractive woman shown so what's the big deal?

 

Fair point here actually.

If Harry is really such a sexual monster, wouldn't he of had sex with a lot of other women as well?

And, to paraphrase Shezza, from one of our conversations, Harry is walking the fine line between good and evil. He is not a good person, but he is not entirely evil either. He hasn't completely fallen yet.

I personally do not think that Harry would jump at the chance to have sex with Charity, as I think he still has that small doubt of conscience niggling at the back of his mind.

Either way, perhaps I hope for too much in my own interpretations of his character.
