If you're talking about songs than Nirvana's Heart-Shaped Box. I thought it was one of their best songs. And Red Hot Chili Peppers' Californication because I just love that song.

 

I do to love those songs, but its more so, songs which suit this here DLP forum, ie our soundtrack, ie songs which would egg us on takin ghte fight to them H/G munchers etc

Melodramatic idiocy aside, I have two points of input.

One, I think while the Harry/G-thing (Oh God, wrong thoughts) ship is vastly overpopulated and generally bad all around, it's gotten way out of hand at DLP. It's it's the very irrational, bigoted behavior that is what we here are against. I'm not talking about our wise-cracks about taking over the world or torturing the hell out of people. Hell, I have those fantasies of control sometimes too. I just think it's just gotten to the point where it's just too ridiculous. While I think that we're entitled to our opinions, this, I think, is very hypocritical behavior.

The root of that problem was originally the cliched relationship between the two- Harry and Ginny- abused, but never breaking hero, and the simple girl. Then it got REALLY out of hand in the fandom, and now here we are. It's sickening what the fandom as a whole did to the characters, and I think that is the main reason most of us decided to hate the pairing, or Ginny in general. I know some people didn't like the character from the start, but this is a whole different can of worms. I'm not trying to start another debate, so Mods, please take note this statement should one arise.

On a lighter note, for the soundtrack- I think that one or a few of us should collaborate and produce an original song that we could distribute. While I know that that idea may not work, I also know for a fact that there are bound to be several musically talented people on the forums; myself included (not to be arrogant or anything like that).

But these are just my opinions, and as I said earlier, every one has their own.

Mods + Admins, maybe the soundtrack topic could be split into the General Discussion? I know that it fits more into the Media section of the boards, but I don't think people go there as much; there are far less posts there than in GD, and I think that should this idea be passed, we're going to want input from all sources. Also, whatever happened to the idea that we were going to make a Flash anim for the site?

 

hmm you have a good point there, I myself am musically talented, by means of the guitar, I would happily work with others here to make a song or two for DLP.

 

I think the only way to combat the H/G virus is to flood ffn and other large sites with psycho Ginny's that have their ass handed to them by some other, better developed character......oh, wait, we already do that...

 

As far as I'm concerned Ginny is Albus' chew toy. Honestly did anyone actually belive she would stick around after 5 years of being ignoered honestly what does JK take us for. I loath Ginny with a vengence shes like the preppy barbies with long hair that you try to cut off every art lesson!
