I heard on the radio that Kutcher is just being inserted in, as if he was always there. No backstory.

What is this I don't even.

I guess that they could do it just to spit Charlie Sheen(Hey dude, we just replaced you) but I don't think it would be too lucrative

So what do you all think of the premier ? Personally, I turned it off about three quarter ways through. Don't see it lasting the season. AK just AK'd the show.

Didn't think it was that bad really. 2 and a Half Men wasn't that great to begin with after a season or two and you realized it wasn't moving anywhere. I enjoyed it more than HIMYM season premiere actually.

I never had a problem with Ashton. I usually find his humor contagious. I laughed. Probably as much as I'd laugh if Charlie Sheen was there. I'll watch it when it's on like I did before. Was never good enough for anything else for me.

I was annoyed at how everyone seemed to take Charlie's death. He wasn't a saint, but he wasn't that bad.

Bah This episode was Chuck Lorre just using this to get back on Charlie Sheen.Something like what the South Park creators did when Chef quit.

But the difference is that while that was funny , the Tow and a Half Men episode was not funny.

    'Tis a pile of shit.

The whole show was about Charlie - the characters were orbited around him.

    No Charlie, no show.

    Jumped the Shark.

Let it die, already - this'll last about one 'new' season, at best.

    ...ugh.

Okay, I watched four season premiers over the past week. HIMYM, Glee, Big Bang Theory, and Two and a Half Men. Of the whole group, the two-part opener of HIMYM I probably thought was the best of the group, closely followed by Big Bang Theory and Glee, while Two and a Half Men...

Okay, it wasn't awful, and Ashton's actually a pretty damn good actor when he wants to be, but the problem wasn't Ashton in this episode. The problems were that the jokes weren't funny and that the writing quality took a serious nosedive. I don't know what the fuck Lorre was doing here, but it sure as hell wasn't funny or in any vestige of good taste. Like it or not, there were some great episodes of Two and a Half Men that were capable of surprising depth or being legitimately funny, and this opener just pissed all over that. I know is capable of better than this, because he writes for the Big Bang Theory, and that show, while having its missteps, has remained pretty damn funny.

So right now, I'll keep my eyes on Two and a Half Men for the next couple of episodes, but if Lorre doesn't immediately kick the writing up a notch, I'm going to drop it like a bag of flaming dog shit.

So necroing the shit out of this thread but this was so absurd I felt it was necessary. It seems Chuck Lorre and CBS have gone further off the batshit crazy slide rule and are dropping Angus T. Jones off of the show as well and are no bullshit talking about replacing him with Miley Cyrus. It's beyond depressing how far what used to be a genuinely funny show has gone down the shit hole.

Now as much as I violently hate that douchenozzle Lorre even I will admit that Jones sort of brought this on himself but this is ridiculous that John Cryer is basically the only regular still on the show. At some point CBS needs to bare minimum change the name of the show if not outright cancel it like they should have the nanosecond Lorre had his little tantrum and fired Charlie.

I've apparently never heard of this show. When I saw the thread title the only thing that came to mind was this:

...and that's apparently not what you mean. But hey, thanks for reminding of a randomass movie I saw once when I was a little kid? XD

Lawl xD, it was Charlie Sheens old TV show, he was the single highest paid television actor ever while he was on it but a couple years back the producer had a tantrum and fired him. Watch the episodes online sometime if you get a chance, while Charlie was on it was hilarious.
