    Well ... You were ruling England for several centuries. Nowadays it's ruled by a (nearly pureblood) German.

    Now thinking of it:
    There were French, Scots, Dutch, German ruling England and then the UK - but - for the last 940 years - had there ever been an English King or Queen wearing the English Crown?

    To have an 'English' King/Queen you'd have to have a very loose definition of English. The North is mostly celt with a bit of Viking mixed in there. The Midlands is a bit of everything, since York is there. The South is more Anglo-Saxon, but with a large minority of French/Germans.

    Very loose definition. On a side note, the European Royal Families are so inbred that they could probably claim citizenship in any country they wanted.

    P.S. France has never won a war against England since William the Conquerer, and even then Normandy was still pretty much seperate from France.
