Anyway, a dementor siege would be really interesting. The people besieged have to keep happy and upbeat or they draw closer. They have to constantly clamp down on their desperation and keep the floating doom waiting outside the walls out of their mind. Someone manages to smuggle in a briefcase full of uppers. The resident naysayer got bludgeoned to death by a madly grinning mob, Lord of the Flies style. Everyone's watching each other to make sure they're sufficiently jubilant. They secretly worry that they aren't happy enough, and then they worry about being worried.

Gods, that's creepy as hell.

 

Sounds like a horror movie that I would watch.
