Well, it does screw with the Force itself so it might not disrupt technology but it definitely affects this universe in some way. I'm curious to see what will happen with that.

 

I think downplaying adverse reactions to technology was kind of a necessary evil for this story to work. The story wouldn't be very interesting if Harry could never get on a space ship for fear of inadvertently blowing it up.

 

The fic is great. The characters interactions are pretty good. I think that his HK-47 is not as good as the canon one, but he is pretty great too. A solid 4/5, it could be better, and the chaptera are too short. And I always have yhe feeling that hakf of those chapters are filler stuff.

 

huh... Magic > Force. Harry "bloody" Potter is somewhat overpowered. Interesting read but sci-fi and fantasy is kind of hard to mix unless magic is being downplayed or if technology can actually block magical powers.

 

The Force is totally nothing BUT magical powers. Seems like they managed that okay. I'm sure Harry will discover that the Force has a few sizable advantages over his powers, just like his seem to have over them.

A Jedi still has the power to react in response to future actions, for example.

 

I thought the story balances quite well about the advantage/disadvantages of magic and the force. Harry isn't really over powered because they can sense him and break his wards. The fight against Darth Maul in close quarter was pure chaos and could have also been lost. Ok, Harry now knows more about force users but calling him overpowered is stretching it.

I was amused as well, especially since SWTOR has been F2P for almost a full year. Good chapter, overall, I enjoyed the easy dismissal of Jar Jar.

 

It feels a bit too 'tell.' Not enough show.

 

Well, The Unsuspecting Side of the Force just updated. It was a decent update, but hopefully the main fic should be getting updated soon.

 

Author said it would be out within the week.

 

The author tempts us with the possibility of Harry/Aayla, but we must not lose faith. The Harry/Padme ship will prevail!

Oh this is pure gold, Harry's talent for annoying people is near god-like, it's even gotten to the point where he's pissing them off by proxy. Can't wait to see him finally interact more fully with the Jedi, by the time that comes around Harry should be the wealthiest scoundrel in the whole galaxy and King of Smugglers, free to thumb his nose at whoever he pleases.

 

You just know that Harry will eventually cock-slap Palpatine and the entire Jedi council will come after him all like omg what did you do to the Chancelor and he'll be like lol look at his face, he's dark lord and they'll be like daaaamn.

 

And he will be like: "Bitch, I ain't no hobbit!"

I want Harry to start teaching Anakin stuff about fighting in theory, while anakin tries to imitate him in secret.

Some fun will be had. I'm just sad that we are ~40 years from Mara Jade. Imagine the chaos...

Decent chapter. I'm becoming increasingly wary about the way the 'good guys' are being portrayed though. Very self righteous and leaning towards demanding. Almost Indy!HP in feel. I'm getting that feeling of dread you get when you start to expect Harry to stand up in the middle of the Great Hall and chastise Dumbledore and/or the Wizarding World for whatever particular issue.

Hopefully this is just a consequence of seeing things from HP's PoV though, and not the way the story is going. Still an entertaining read at this point.
