Found this while I was stumbling around the internet.

Even though it's still a year away, this video makes me even more excited for the film. I'm not a huge fan of 3D by any means (I think I've only seen two movies in 3D) but if I'm going to trust a director and genre to make me love it, it will certainly be Peter Jackson and Lord of the Rings.

The Hobbit will always have a special place in my heart. First book big adult book I can remember reading.

 

I'm feeling surprisingly apathetic about seeing the Hobbit, with the Lord of the Rings phase having worn off. I'm more interested in seeing the Silmarillion or pieces of the Lays of Beleriand adapted. It would do more to bring Tolkien's creation into the public consciousness and bring some incredible stories to life.

 

Agreed. The story of Beren and Luthien would make for a fantastic film.
