Well like I said, I didn't really mind it. But then again I won't be missing it that much either, especially if it's replaced with actual combat bending now that Amon is stepping up his game.

Pro-bending is so much more enjoyable with blatant cheating involved.

Hahahahaha. I love the little shout outs like this.

Was really expecting some Avatar state goodness but given Korra's flashbacks I'm starting to think there is a direct correlation between the ability to Airbend and accessing the Avatar state. Which can only mean Aang vs Ozai levels of awesome in the season finale.

Watching the new episode now. Glad that our trio has apparently gotten over the romance fiasco so quickly.

Korra just busting up into the closed Council meeting so rudely, and over a game, gives me less respect for her as the Avatar. Aang might still have busted his way into the meeting, but he'd have been polite once he got there and listened to all sides. Korra is all "I can do whatever because I'm the Avatar."

Then again it looks like Korra has spent her entire childhood being told that she is awesome, she is the Avatar, she is entitled. Aang hadn't even hit puberty yet when his entire world was gone and he had to save the one that had taken its place. So it makes sense from that stand point...

I just really wish Tenzin would haul off and slap her or something.

...even if I do agree with Korra and the Chief. I wondered for a second if possibly the guy leading the taskforce to find Amon *is* Amon, but that was probably just me getting the wrong impression from his scheming.

LOL @ the announcer though -- "I am currently wetting my pants."

Great episode overall. Lots of fun to watch -- not only the match, which was better with cheating, but the disparity between "pro-bending" and bending in actual combat. Not to mention how easily the WolfBats were taken out in a real fight.

Looking super forward to next weeks ep :D

I get the feeling Tarquin is Amon too. It's the eyes, mostly. The close ups you get of Amon's eyes are very similar to Tarquin's, and it would make sense that Tarquin would be for escalating the conflict if he was Amon, because that would suit his goals well.

That would mean Amon's a waterbender, which doesn't really make sense to me.

Unless he had a waterbender working for him, that bent the water he "bent". But that would be pretty complex.

I thought that at first with the quick swap decisions, but in the next scene someone has to come to Amon and tell him "the council ignored your warning"

Goddamn I miss Aappa. This polar bear dog just doesn't have the same swag as he does.

Maybe its the lack of horns. Or the fact he cant fly. Or the fact he isn't a fucking bison.

The ferret is a pretty good replacement for Momo though.

What is Pabu anyway? A lemur-ferret? He's pretty awesome (and cute) regardless.

But the next scene could have been an hour later. *shrug* I'm not saying that the guy is Amon but I don't think that's a completely valid argument against it.

As for bending, eh, Amon could be a bender and just be keeping it secret. I don't really think that's the case but I am not sure it should be completely ruled out.

He's a fire ferret. Pabu more than covers for momo and the polar bear dog is pretty good in my opinion. Aappa was useful because they had to fly everywhere in a large group. The polar bear dog is cool because it can give Korra, and someone else if needed, quick transport to various places.

Did anyone else find it odd that when Amon's zeppelin flies away, everyone takes that to be the end of the fight? I mean, couldn't they just follow it? A giant fucking blimp would be pretty easy to track.

Yeah -- I was expecting to see Tenzin follow it (airbending ftw) from a distance and see where it went / what they did when they got there. If Tenzin has even half of the skill Aang had in the air he should be able to stay at a distance / dodge whatever they tried to throw at him if they noticed him.

I mean, granted Tenzin hasn't got a staff with him like Aang always had, but I find it hard to believe that *the* current Airbending master hasn't got a means of following something in the air.

Could have followed them on the ground pretty easily too. Or maybe in one of the police blimps.

This just bugged me because Avatar is usually so good at maintaining my willing suspension of disbelief.
