    Here's an official trailer.

I'm afraid to hope. We all know how Dragonball turned out, and M. Night hasn't demonstrated quality work lately. Cautious optimism is my game plan for the next year.

Aw shit.... Well I am cautiously optimistic with this one. M. Night Shyamalan does do some good movies I think.

Looks like it could go either way. I'm saving my optimism until I get more information.

Fuck, that was little more than a teaser trailer. Kid looks kinda gay, too chubby, but meh, Aang is supposed to be young. I'm not sure what was up with the hood. o_O

The fireballs were a nice touch.

One thing is for certain: Katara better be cute, and Sokka better be fucking funny. And is Appa just going to be CGI?

If he fucks this up, I'm never watching any of his movies ever again. Not like I watch any now... but still. This is Avatar. The last great American superheroish cartoon. If he ruins it... D:

The trailer looked great and Aang's airbending looked awesome, but I think I'll reserve judgement about the whole thing for now. No point in getting my hopes up if the movie turns out to be like the Harry Potter movies.

Cautiously optimistic, I like the way they have done Aangs tattoo. Zuko doesn't look anything like I would have thought, hair & no scar, and what the hell is with those eyebrows?

Yeah, the no scar thing is really bugging me. That's like an integral part of who Zuko is, it's the thing that started him hunting for the Avatar.

I hardly know anything about Airbenders or whatnot, so it doesn't really affect me. That is to say, until I opened Penny Arcade and saw something about it.

With Morgan Freeman in it this movie is made of :awesome

Hell, I'm not even optimistic about this movie anymore. Right now I'm just hoping that it will fall in the "so bad it's good" category like the original Street Fighter movie.

Dude, that's not a scar. Harvey Two-Face had a scar. This shit looks like the makeup person got creative with some blush.

They could always CGI it in to touch it up.

I just saw the trailer on big screen and I'm cautiously optimistic.

Dragon Ball Z failed for so many other reasons than the directors...

Don't get me wrong, I haven't watched his Movies since the Happening( Where absolutely nothing Happened). but Avatar is just such a good series based on plot and premise, that it just might survive him and the chubby boy.

It looks like they're trying to be true to the series with this one. I wonder if they will summarize each season for sequels.

I'm just hoping the Shamilamilam won't try and of his weird "What a twist!" shit.

I think I'll jump on the "cautiously optimistic" bandwagon. I heard that this movie was getting made a while but this is the first time I've seen the trailer or any pictures.

Love the Avatar series of cartoons though, really fun stuff. Probably worth checking out if you haven't seen them.

Has M. Night Shyamalan done any other movies that weren't horror films of some sort? I'd like to check it out if so, and see how he does with something that isn't chock full of suspense/horror.
