If you wanted to check for updates why not just check the story every day rather than dry hump the thread praying that every post is about an update? Calm the fuck down already. Jbern said it would be up within the next week anyway. 5 Days, and there's no reason to suddenly go apeshit over someone else posting.

newsflash there is such a thing as an email alert when fics get updated. Hell there is even a RSS feed setup for FFA, maybe if you weren't such a fucking idiot you would know that and could leave the discussion thread to the discussion instead of trying to use it as a system to know when a fic gets updated.

 

Updates fall under the discussion of a story the last time I checked since updates directly effect the story, and when that is combined with the fact that jbern had said he would update soon, I can see why people would be pissed off especially when nothing of value was added to the discussion of this story.

Epic chapter with an even more epic cliffhanger.

 

Pretty good, I suppose. The duel with Krum seemed a bit short and I think Hermione took the news about HJ a bit too easily, but those aren't exactly major things to complain about.

I look forward to the next chapter.

Nice update, the Krum bashing could have been more extreme, but overall it was fine. Anyone else read the preview of Dead Eye?

I picked up some jokes he used from The Lie I lived there: "Want to know how much pain I am in? Ever wrestle ontop of a fire ant hil."

The Bus joke was lulz.

 

I think I'll wait to read any more of this one till it's done, then just run it all down at once. By this point I'm having issues rectifying known characters with how his plot has evolved them. More an issue of time than anything, as I recall them 'working' just fine.

Hermione felt too accepting, but with the hazy recollection I have of her previous, I think it's justified. HJ being more secretive, more confident, and less apt to being bossed about would make her rethink her usual vectors with getting and verifying information.

 

Read through the chapter, and its one of your better one's concerning HJ's relationship with Fleur and Dumbledore. Pretty good recap of previous chapters, and the twist in the end made me groan; both at the thought of not seeing it coming and having to wait for the next chapter.
