Did mama mando die? It kind of felt like her last stand, but then she creamed like all the stormtroopers and a couple of scenes later, they had killed all the stormtroopers. Did I miss sth?

It's possible she was killed off-screen, but very unlikely. She's shown killing the stormtroopers that came after her then taking off. Presumably, she hid in the sewers until the Imps packed up and left, then went back to salvaging the beskar out of the abandoned armor.

I imagine she's gonna be a fixture of the series who shows up from time to time to impart wisdom when Mando is lost and needs guidance.

    Episode 8 was legit.

The Darksaber was a nice touch.

I also really loved the opening scene with stormtrooper small talk.

"Are we cleared to move forward yet?"
"Well, the Moff just killed an officer for interrupting him, so sit tight, it might be a bit."
    *Long suffering sigh*

The best part of that was them trying to shoot the can. Jokes are the deepest lore.

Episode 8 was the shit. It's a tossup between Mama Mando and the two Stormtroopers ("I got the point. Did you get the point?"). The face reveal wasn't overdone. It was well paced and ended impressively. I'm sad my ship isn't sailing, but that's about my biggest complaint.

This season was just ... a good show. How many others can boast that? The only issue one might have to throw is that a couple episode were fillerish, yet enjoyable.

I'm so glad there's still some good Star Wars out there.

I loved this show to pieces, pretty much the whole way through. Like Rep said, I really wish the episodes in the middle were connected to the overarching plot (ideally, the hunter at the end of Episode 4 carries an insignia for a Hutt or something, Episode 5 has Mando doing the job for the kid to get the credits to buy info on who hired the hunter from the Hutt, Episode 6 sees Mando teaming up with Bill Burr and co to break out the (now-captured) former Imperial agent who put the hit out on the kid for Werner Herzog's character, and Episode 7 is said Imperial agent brokering the "deal" with Werner Herzog that started the whole finale), and it really wouldn't have taken much to accomplish, but that's really my only complaint with it. It was just fantastic the whole way through otherwise.

Also, I just can't get the idea of grown-up Baby Yoda running around the galaxy as a Mandalorian bounty hunter, and I've actually started trying to write it. This should be fun if I can get it to come together.

If anything, the biggest filler was episode 7. Which is just bizarre, tbh. I mean, it was fun. But yeah.

On the plus side, don't really need a lot of Beskar for a full set.

Halfway through and the guest actors' stilted rhythms (and superficial dialogue) keep ruining it for me.

This was definitely my biggest problem with the show. The guest actors were largely awful, particularly during the mid-season episodes.

I finally watched the whole season, and I have to say that for all the hype, I really didn't enjoy it that much. The music was great, the locations were beautiful. Baby Yoda was kinda cool. I liked Mando as a character.

But apart from that... it was just cliche and boring. Too much suspension of disbelief. I ended up having to force myself to finish it, and had longer breaks between episodes than I usually would.

Yes. That and the village defence episode were easily the worst in that regard.

Tonks was hamming it up far too hard in every scene she was in. Bill Burr wasn't quite as bad, just very out of place. He didn't really sell me on him being a hardened mercenary.
