I find it rather unlikely that a wolf pushes another wolf in that way, that adamantly, this early. Haven't seen .113 wolf before admittedly and I know he's fairly new so not outside the realm of possibility but inclined to think not

Okay, so let's talk Miner then. You haven't given a read on him yet. What's your take on him, from somebody who has deep meta?

    Yeah, go for it.

If I'd wanted to be coy with fonti I'd have held back my reasoning on Miner - I did consider it, she has the annoying habit of basically being able to cold read me as a wolf and I'm not playing "do you see what I see with her" anymore as a result.

It's kind of the same feeling I get from yvtn, where he just townreads people that suspect him to blow them off. But apparently the worst example of that in his iso was another copypasta, and miner is specifically doing it to people he SHOULD be more worried about.

Well, tom pretty much said what I was going to say. If I'm scum and there's a good town player in there who it's probably not worth it to lynch, I just drop a townread on them and then kill them at night.

(see: what I did with Zack in Backups Game 2 recently, as Zack and Fonti can confirm).

Miner's pretty much following that playbook line by line, from what it looks like to me.

Does Miner have an alignment preference?

    Obscure mafia terminology.

"Garcia" means to answer a question that wasn't addressed to you. It's discouraged.

Some questions are open-ended or "to the thread" or whatever, but in the case where Player A asks Player B a question, it's frowned upon for anyone else other than B to answer it, as A may have specific reasons for wanting to hear B before anyone else weighs in on it.

    Gotta actually work today.
    Reads aorn:
Towns: Scott, sr, fable, Zack, weiy
    Scums: cuth, miner, proph, Stanari

There's more but those are the stronger/more memorable ones.
I have a memory that vira is scum with proph but a) proph hasn't flipped and b) I don't remember why

I think what stands out to me is his read on Scott and how that progressed early on. More recently, I've just liked the tone of his posts and his general thread engagement (struggling to remember anything specific since I've just woken up). Not really stronger than that, but I'm more confident on this read than most others.

...I'm not really sure what it's unrelated to lol. That said, it was basically 0-100. You catch up, presumably, and you're already in the middle of an argument, pushing people and using pressure. Granted, I've actually played with you ?surprisingly not-often?, but I still thought it... odd.

The essence of what I was saying is "it was incredibly hedgy and shady", again, on a level I'm just not used to seeing from you. You're normally a fairly solid, moderate(ish?) player, do do different things, but that still is wholly at odds with my perception of your meta.

Granted, said perception is probably skewed because the only game I really remember specifically is Night Owl, but all the same.

You were around, you could address it, I wanted to make the point before I went to bed while it was still more relevant. I, on my part, didn't care much for the way you handled it, but eh. I don't think it's really a read that can fundamentally be argued off. That said, should probably go and read some games.

I know I meant more like "if we use it there it must be universal" since we don't really have that many real mafia players

He asked me how I planned to exhibit my towniness (this is not verbatim) this game and I gave him a non-answer; it kind of weirded me out when I didn't get a response but I'm not really sure that's actually alignment indicative any more.

My first thought was; "heh, it'd be great if Newcomb/Miner are w/w shooting for a not-w/w read."

Miner's been a bit sidelined itt apart from this bit for me so far so he could be scum, but I'm sure I'll figure it out in not too long either way, so haven't gone in depth there yet.
