Just redownloaded NMM to look at it, and it says that I should either move the install info out of program files or run as administrator.

 

Hmm, I've always run NMM as administrator, simply because IIRC it can't do anything in the Skyrim directory (which is in Program Files, inside Steam) otherwise.

 

Do you have something against running it as administrator? Just right click, run as administrator, and it should work.

Or disable UAC, which I usually do anyway. Up to you though, as there are risks associated with that.

Unfortunately there is a short delay between you speaking and the shout because Script Dragon (which is required, by the way) isn't perfect, but that's to be expected really. You get used to it, and let's be honest here - actually shouting Fus Ro Dah to throw some bitches around is fucking awesome.

 

Just put the install info file inside skyrim's folder, or fuck anywhere else other then program files. All /Install info is in a place where it stores what mod changed what file, how, so it can change it back if you deactivate the mod.

I figure this is as good a place as any to ask, for the past few hours any time I try to get onto any section at all of the Skyrim Nexus site it just gives me Server Not Found. Any and all other sites work fine but Skyrim Nexus fails every time and I have no clue what to do. Ideas?

 

Probably due to the domain name change. All nexus sites are now skyrim.nexusmods.com, or fallout3.nexusmods.com, etc. Links to the skyrimnexus.com should redirect to the new domain though.

I was actually having the same problem as you were with nmm not being able to detect skyrim or whatever. According to the read-me you just have to remove nmm from program files if you're using vista or windows 7 as your os. Moving it to desktop should have fixed any problems you were having...but since hasn't it hasn't try dropping the nmm folder from programs into documents instead - that's where mine are and I'm not having issues. I guess if all else fails just do a full delete of nmm and try reinstalling again. I think I had to do that at one point as well to get it to work.

I got all the same error messages and crap as you did too. Running as an admin and doing the above seemed to get it rocking and rolling for me. Hopefully you figure this out man. The modding community's been pretty hard at work so far.

 

Oh God War in Skyrim is difficult. I started a new character for it and have killed two dragons before even starting Farengar's quest.

Rofl theres nothing wrong with it so long as you don't make it sound like the entire mod is like that xD. There are easier setting where your just going to get jumped by four or five trolls and some Master Vampires at the same time. The dragons will wait until after they've wrecked your shit.

Erm because it isn't a difficulty enhancing mod 0.o? Thats the Dragon mod, Wars in Skyrim while it does have killer difficulty settings is designed solely to try and flesh out the world.

 

It fleshes out the world, yes, but by that very same thing it also increases the difficulty. So really it's a dual-world building/difficult enhancing mod.
