Interesting. Camera work and acting was better than what you usually come across from something like this, and the effects were quite nice for not having a budget.

Apparently they only had two days to shoot this. The director was also the same guy responsible for framing/ shooting everything as well.

Taking that into consideration I'd say they did a pretty bang up job. The VFX was great, admittedly the acting could use work. But hey, if they did one thing with this video it was attract attention. Maybe some folks with more experience will step forward.

The acting wasn't the best but they tried and the effects were good(liked the shield). A little nit pick but it was odd seeing them cast non verbally and then call out simple spells like expelliamus(although I get the reason why they did that) and its a little disappointing they went with movie apparation but otherwise it was interesting.

I've always thought that JKR is missing out on letting Hollywood create an Auror's tv show. For what the guy had to work with (no budget) this was pretty good. I liked that the magic actually did something other than throw people backwards like in the movies.

I didn't like movie-apparation, and the weird spell-beams that they had going on. I would have liked to have seen more varied magic including transfiguration. However, the effects were pretty solid.

    HP Fan Film

Best Fan film that I've seen so far (not that I've seen many). Their special effects are consistently good, and I love that their portrayal of the Killing Curse is line in with canon. Yay, the Shield Charm doesn't block Avada Kedavra, and people are actually using spells to do more than just explode things.

The name boggles me, however, and the acting, while not terrible, does show room for improvement.

Hmm, that blonde girl wasn't all that bad looking. /Creeper.

Anyhoot, my views are pretty much the same as everyone else's, but I would like to mention that I wish they'd have put more emotion out when casting the spells.

Especially the Killing Curses. Half the time, I think the actors were bored.

This was better than The Greater Good, imo. Also, Russians!

I liked this, interesting to say the least.

Here's hoping something more happens with this.

Almost screamed when the dude summoned a rock to block the AK. While it's an overused concept in HP fanon, it's still exciting to see the thing done on a screen.

Cheers to the VFX and the visual team. Acting is piss poor though.

He said it took him half a year of editing. Holy shit. To be continued might be a while I'm guessing.

Good work. I'm glad he invested half a year into it.

I also think that the previous action (the 12 people killed) should have been shown not told. The story felt kinda incomplete, like we were just jumping in.

It was fairly interesting. My first thoughts were if this was the much sought-after Harry Potter/Percy Jackson crossover. Nope.

I was elated to be vindicated in my belief that once graduating from Hogwarts, Ron went on to become Macklemore, and crushed once it became apparent that guy was neither Ron nor Macklemore.

Although, despite the great effects, that girl casts the slowest Avada Kedavras ever--plenty of time for Glasses to force a giant rock from its setting and levitate it into the curse's path. Not that it helped White Shirt. What an iconic character.

I also thought that the writing really needed some work on this. I mean...I hate those Stupid Ball moments where no one seems to notice the glaring idiocy of villains:
"You will hand over the boy AND the orb to me, lest you want to find out what an ass with a wand and a defenseless 100-pound woman can do against two fully trained aurors and a dude with a magic-destroying orb! My victory is ASSURED."
I get you want a climactic stand-still, but make it work, not...that.

Of course, I will watch the rest diligently. I'm one of those guys that's in it for the ride, and enjoys the hell out of it while nitpicking mercilessly.
