My only problem

My only problem is the Harry/Lilly thing. It just seems... Distateful.

I made it quite clear in an earlier chapter that Dumbledore is NOT perfect and that he didn't do some of the subjects which are currently taught.

I didn't really like the chamber, I was about to change it but I thought; 'might as well do it in Christmas' so I left it there. he'll have a new abode next chapter. The chamber was like a temporary home to him and is NOT a big part of the fic at all.

Would Harry have thought; 'hmm, which route should I take? This one has a shortcut but there's some stairs to climb etc' No; he just rushed into action. That's what Harry does no matter what situation he's in.

I do have a plan right up till the end of the fic. For example, if you asked me what happened in Chapter 22, I could tell you because I've got a page on Chapter 22. Fics don't work without plans. 8)

Thanks. The image is from the cover of the Golden age of Sith, and was cropped and edited in photoshop. I chose it because it was a perfect representation of Janus Ashtear, the man who will teach Harry the dark arts in my fic Stranger in a strange land. (It can be found in these forums, under dark harry but remains lightsided)

 

I did not like Georgina from the start. Can we just kill her off. Her actions are getting quite annoying. Maybe Harry's next girlfriend could be a wizarding supermodel; hey, the girl does not need to be in Hogwarts. I will be looking forward to see Harry go out with a very hot chick. Please do not make the lover a Ravenclaw girl like Beatrice; I do not like Beatrice for some reason. Maybe Harry found out about the arith teach and screws her and spit on her; yeah, I like the sound of that.

 

I agree. He doesn't always have to fish in the local pond. Or even in the UK (see the relationships between Hermione/Krum, Fleur/Bill, and Hagrid/Madame Maxime) just for some examples. I feel like with all of his abilities and experiences Harry should be dating someone a little more mature. How about...Andromeda Black aka Tonks, She should be a few years older (as Nymphadora is 8 years older than Harry anyway).

the people there are too young for him at school. THe first thing is that Harry is supposed to be powerful and more experienced than them, but he seems to ONLY be interested in making friends with people who are whiny teenagers, which he himself, is becoming. I wanna yell at him to STOP BITCHING. He should have gone on a rampage and become colder when TOnks died. He's too soft. "we'll see Lils." ANd he seems to do EXACTLY what DUmbledore wants. He is not INdependent. He just is DUmbledore's equal, making him DUmbledore's most trusted person. Start having him be vicious. Start throwing Avada Kedavra around when he sees a deatheater. That's what I would do. He's too pussy.


Also, Dude has the ability to use Legilimency and chooses not to? EVERYONE uses it. Dumbledore included (see HBP) its foolish of him not to. If you have an ability and choose NOT to use it, its like tying one hand behind you're back for the sake of it. I can't LEARN the truth, I have to DISCOVER it legitimately. This whole invasion of privacy issue has been done to DEATH. Everyone uses it. And if they don't use it, it seems more out of neglect because of the energy it takes than actual morals. Dumbledore used it on people CONSTANTLY.

I like Vash's method where he doesn't know how to SUBTLY invade people's mind without the spell, but he knows enough to tell when people are lying to him (unless they know Occlumency).


But yeah, I agree. it makes it VERY easy, and in that version, Harry IS the new Dark Lord, so it makes sense that he's VERY powerful.

I don't recall Nik Flamel being a "whiny teenager"...

His mother in the past helped him overcome his coldness. If he was cold, there wouldn't be a story and my fic would blend in with the increasingly bland and unoriginal Dark/Independent Harry genre. Said genre is dying just like Azkaban Harry before it.

I hope I'm posting the right story because Harry has killed many DE. Perhaps too many. Harry is not bitching to anyone; he shares his thougts and feelings only with Flamel. If you look really hard, you'd realise that. He didnt even share hem with Georgina.

EVERYONE does not use legilimency as it's not a common talent. It has been used connstantly for a reason: Harry has morals. Isn't legilimency use one of the reasons Dumbldore haters hate Dumbledore?

He does not do exactly what Dumbeldore wants. He went against old Dumbys better judgement to rescue the kids didn't he? What is wrong with him being Dumbledore's equal? What's wrong with Dumbledore trusting him? More importantly, when have I ever said this was going to be a carbon copy of every other Dark Harry stories with Dumbeldore bashing etc? This is NOT a dark Harry fic. He's not too pussy, he has FRIENDS, something every person needs.

You want him to go on a rampage? Well that's more teenage than the non-existant "whining". And anyway, what good will it do? In what way will it enhance OSOH or Harry's character except to show he has no control over his emotions? He did become cold when Tonks died. Remember? O dear, he called a close friend by a nickname! Shock horror!
