DLP server has been dead as of late. This makes me sad.

On another note, I had an idea for a new map type. Tug-of-War. Each team gets a point, and you stand as many people as you can on it. (Problem is, I see demos and snipers being entirely OP for this kind of map.) I'm not a map designer, nor have I been around TF2 very long. There may well already be a map like this.

Oh, and arena: fuck yeah.

 

King of the hill mode is more of less that, with just one point, but I get what you're saying, you'd have to send folks to their point to try to drop folks off, while taking away from your own point.

 

Should get some games going guys. Come on now, DLP server is lonely all by itself.

 

I made the mistake of playing tonight, after a week or so of not playing.

All I have to say can be summed up in three little letters: W.T.F.

Looks like TF2 has turned into a contest of who has the bigger credit card limit. Forget spending HOURS of game time trying to find those unique little items! Now all you have to do is grease some palms and you're instantly a head of most players! No skill required!

Fuck you Steam, or whoever runs TF2. Good way to ruin what could have been a great game.

I can usually take out folks with the upgraded / unlocked items, but are you guys saying you can now fucking buy the stuff? Gay.

 

Yeah. Apparently they added trading and the ability to buy everything, weapons all down to hats. So I think they pissed off a lot of people with the new World of Fortresscraft update. :|

They even added some new (seemingly-OP atm) sets for Scout, Soldier, Sniper, Spy, and Pyro.

Totally fuckin' useless shit.

 

The new weapons aren't that great, and the set bonuses certainly don't do much. Buying items doesn't give you any advantage over regular players, either, as they can all be found the regular way.

It's not a huge deal, really.

 

Started playing this again after the update, you guys should get in gear.

Buy it. It's probably pretty cheap for just the hat, or you can get the entire spy-win set for 40 bucks.

Its got nothing to do with advantage vs being consumer whores and if its true they did it because of pressure, it makes them worse.

 

I was looking at the wrong one. You can get every new set for 40 bucks.

Anyway, I played a little bit more yesterday and it isn't as bad as I thought. However, the pyro's new flamethrower and the spy shit are fucking OP. Invisible facestabbing spies, oh my!

 

That may be so, but with the entire set, your decloak sound is pretty much nil...So the new set plus the Camp and Dagger = OP. (I'm not going to say anything about the original cloak. That one takes some awesome fucking skill to use. Skill I don't have, heh.)

This still doesn't get to the root of my problem however: Invisible (and I mean fully fucking invisible) facestabbing spies. Maybe my ping was too high or something, but I never once saw the spy who stabbed me, even in the after-death freezecam.

 

Holy Shit. I just got on last night. $18 for A SINGLE HAT.

Fuck you, Jon, that shit is retarded regardless of your pointless opinion of it. $17.99? For a hat? I can fucking almost buy Team Fortress 2 for that. I CAN buy two or more games for that as well.
