    Genre: Family/Romance*
    Status: WIP
    Library Category: Other Fandoms

    Personal Thoughts:

I'm sure, having seen the summary, many people will be put off by the Fem!Naruto/Male pairing. I can only say that it was a very enjoyable read and though they share the same name and some other similarities, the main character of Uzumaki Naruto is more OC than OOC. Make of it what you will.

The story itself it fairly slow-paced, but it's not necessarily a bad thing. Also, despite my dislike of him in general, Sasuke is much more likable IMO the way he's handled here. It also looks like he may be who Eilwynn plans to pair Naruto with but I'm not 100% sure.

The only thing that really irked me the first time I saw it were the CD players and mentions of Rock music, bands and the like. Overall, it was fun to read and it kept me entertained for a good while.

    4/5

    Concerning the Genre and Pairing:

Since the Genre is not specifically mentioned/labeled I'll have to say that so afar it feels like a more Family themes story with a hint of possible Romance in the future.

As for the Pairing, as stated in the authors summary, it will be between a fem!Naruto and a male character.

What is this doing in the HP Board. Moved. -- Sesc

    Ah, thank you Sesc.

Most fics with a male-turned-female x male character are writers who are in denial.

Not really keen on fics with real-life references like music so I'll probably just skim this when I get a chance.

Oh god. What a pile of crap. Worst inner monologue ever. The author can't even contain the first person perspective to one person, but has to keep on showing the same scene from two people's eyes for... well, no reason at all. It's stupid. The author lays on the hurt/comfort with a shovel. Apparently the Anbu are all pathetic and when assigned to check on Naruto only ever stared at the outside of a building for six years.

I just read two chapters of drivel. Do yourselves a favour and avoid. I didn't even reach any annoyances to do with fem!Naruto and CD players.

I didn't mind this one. It worked as something so-so to read but I can't say I'm eagerly awaiting new updates. Must have missed the CD player and band references. 3/5.

The writing's not bad from a technical perspective, but the narrative mode has completely put me off. The story starts off with Naruto at six (right?), but s/he narrates the story as if an adult. It's frankly a little creepy. Plus the perspective flipping gets on my nerves. Using first-person in fanfiction is risky; using for like four people in one story sets you up for failure.

Apparently, she said that the narratives are supposed to be like that. Naruto and everyone else telling the story are talking about it as if from a memoir. Well I can say that it isn't a terrible read. I enjoyed it well enough even with the mention of CD players, rock bands, and the constant switching of narrators.

It's a 2.5/5 for me. While I personally liked it enough to continue reading, it certainly isn't a memorable piece and is far better suited in the Almost Recommended thread.
