Title: The Serpent and the Mirror
    Author: Paimpont
    Rating: T
    Genre: Family/Angst
DLP Category: I'm not sure, general.
    Pairing: None
    Status: Work In Progress
Summary: Dr. Dumbledore suspects that Harry's hallucinations about Hogwarts and the Dark Lord hold the clues to a terrible family secret. What are the Potters hiding? And what is Harry's relationship to the shadowy Voldemort?

I'm just going to give fair warning that this doesn't have magic in it. And the author likes slash, so I'm not sure whether there'll be some kind of strange paring. But other than that it's actually quite good, I started off not really liking it but it does draw you in and makes you wonder what the secret is. It's quite well written, though I do think I saw some mistakes in it, the author's first language is not English. I though it was quite good, not amazing but a nice idea which I haven't seen before (but I do steer clear of non-magic stories)... I'd say a 3.5/5 rating.

    No ...magic?

What? That doesn't sound like HP to me. :/

Not gonna read, not gonna rate. Unless it gets amazing reviews somehow.

Average. Nothing special but you could call if a guilty pleasure. The mystery is interesting if a little bland and you can figure it out in the third or fourth chapter.

Right now I'm giving it 3,5/5 and will wait for the last chapter for final decision on it.

EDIT: After last chapter the rating goes down to 2,5/5. Was expecting something more sinister and wortwhile than that. Would be 2/5 but the last line quoted by OP made mu chuckle - so for that additional 0,5.

Eugh. Please take back anything I said about it. It was all ruined by the fact that:
    They were conjoined twins
    and the end line was
    "Please send the Cullens in"

Sorry for posting this crap on here. I take the rating down the 0.5/5...

On the plus side (for me at least), I first thought this author's name was Tampon. Freudian dyslexia? Made me do a double-take, anyway.

EDIT: but yeah, OP, just stop now.

Unless it's obviously GOOD fic that you enjoy and think that the mainstream readers would enjoy it too, go ahead and recommend. But if you knew DLP at all, you'd know better than to post this kinda crap.

    Bolded for lulz >_>

No, seriously. Why exactly did you think this would be well received here? At least you had the grace to admit it yourself that this turned into a pile of crap. Still, if a fic is so teetering on the edge, better not post it here.
