Well, I apologize for not being here earlier. I had one of my Tuesday/Thursday thirteen-and-a-half hour class-days(that is, leave home at about 7a.m., and come home at around 8:30p.m.), and after coming home late didn't check the forum before going to sleep. That, and I didn't get home until a little while ago today either.

As for the completely pointless honorary Mayor vote:

I'm guessing this time is mostly for the scum to coordinate in their QTs, therefore I don't think much talk is going to happen until at least the last 12 hours of this day. That's when they'll most likely try to put any plans into action.

Unless Lindsey's "mistake" was the beginning of her factions plan in which case she may not have "derped" at all. Meanwhile everyone who's voting for Mayors may have ulterior motives to vote, such as wanting to push people to the forefront of everyone's minds when the lynch vote begins.

Finally, calling for people to talk will not inherently make them talk and just makes you seem as if your posturing as town in the manner that by having more people talk, you can dissect what they're saying and ergo try to weed out the potential scum from the potential town. The problem here is that you're posturing which means you could either be scum pretending to be town or you could genuinely be town and the rest of us have no way to know that.

There, is that enough calculating talk for you to dissect Evan?

 

Because there's absolutely no point in voting for a powerless mayor besides making useless posts that obscure content posts. I'm all for using stupid shit to get the game moving on day 1, but a pointless mayor vote just makes for several pages of worthless posts to wade through.

When does the game truly start though? I'm glad it's beginning over a 3 day weekend, I has time to dedicate to game then.

 

The pressure Evan Tide is putting on for everyone to post makes him seem more than a little scummy to me. Seems like he's trying to hard to appear massively pro-town.

 

It's already started. Day one has about 26 hours left in it, and all other phases will be 24 hours (I presume). Confused me as well, since the sign up post said it wouldn't start until tonight, but basically day 1 was started 24 hours early and extended by 24 hours as well.

I have the same rationale as coleam: there's no reason to participate in a ineffectual Mayor vote other than to burn time and clog up the thread.

 

Lots of counting votes and posts and some debating on the strength of different roles is all I can see but it's early I suppose. Not much for anyone to go on. On the other hand, he's the only one sticking out to me. \()/
